I start off by cutting a 3/4" disc out of a thick sheet of sterling silver and then stamp each letter by hand using special metal stamps. The disc is given a wavy and nicked finish, it is not smooth and flat, but has more of an organic finish to it. I then solder on a bail on the back of the disc for the pendant to slide on the leather necklace. The leather necklace is finished with a solid sterling clasp and the leather is black.
