Nice tin full of a good colour combination
Gorgeous tin full of great Colour combinations. Being new to pastels I opted to buy these instead of the more expensive brands as I didn't want to pay a huge amount of money on something I might not use often enough to warrant a big spend. All the colours are beautiful and I use them for whimsical faces rather than watercolor. I used a good quality pastel paper as they don't do well on cheaper grade paper as they end up looking too grainy and don't blend well. overall they are a good quality and easy to get the hang of.

Great pastel pencils
I really love these pastel pencils. I wish id bought a larger set. The colours are bright and clear. I know the best way to sharpen pastel pencils is to use a blade, whether it be a safety razor blade, stanley knife, or pen knife, but being accident prone, ive managed quite well to use the largest hole in a double hole pencil sharpener. I have used these pencils for backgrounds in adult colouring books, and if blended with your finger very hard and well into the paper, i have found no need for the use of a fixative. They give a lovely soft effect. Just what i was looking for

Best blending pastel pencils ever
If you love a soft blendable pastel these are your only choice. I've wanted these for years ever since borrowing a set from a friend at art school. Finally got round to buying a set and don't know why I waited so long. They are fab.

Inaccurate photo for this 24 pencil set!!! Be warned
The first photo is what you see on the advert and unless you count the pencils in the photo, you dont realise that this is NOT the spectrum of colours you will get.pHOTO #2 IS WHAT ACTUALLY ARRIVED!!!iF YOUR GOING TO ADVERTISE a 24 pencil set, you should SHOW a 24 pencil set, not a misleading 48 pencil set!!!!

Not for me!
I didn’t expect Conte a Paris Pastel Pencils to be of the same quality of Carbothello’s or Caran d’Ache..... The pencils themselves are thick - too thick. Colour-wise, if they were a little softer the coverage would be better. That said, once the colour is down they blend easily. I guess for the price they’re ok, just not for me.
