Better than my professional (expensive) guard!!
I have had several bite guards to help prevent teeth grinding, tmj symptoms & headaches. I have had my $600+ professional splint from my dentist for over 5 years, which I am still using on occasion. Most over-the-counter products have not worked well for me. They are too soft or ill-fitting to do a sufficient job. My professional splint has it's pros & cons. The negative aspects are that it fits very tightly over my entire top row of teeth. If I don't wear it every night, it gets so tight that my teeth are sore. Even when I wear it, I continue to grind my teeth, just against the hard plastic instead of against the bottom row of teeth. The force is exerted over the entire jaw. Because it is hard plastic, my teeth slide over the bite guard easily. Because the device is so large, I must be subconsciously aware of it. I have dreams about my teeth falling out or having something stuck on them..Because of the low price & excellent reviews, I decided to give the GrindReliefN Grind Guard a try. I was especially interested in it being a smaller device with the force concentrated on the central power bar. The only so-called negative I would say is that I did "fit" it to my mouth several times in order to get the best fit. In hind-sight, it was extremely easy, I think I just let the detailed instructions overwhelm me. Personally it fit my upper jaw best. I found that if I put it on warm, bit down gently, then carefully formed the extra gel to fit against my gums, then carefully removed, let cool slightly, then finally run under gentle, cool water I finally achieved the perfect fit.I also noticed as I wore it at night, that once it was in my mouth for a few minutes, the warmth of your own mouth helps it fit even better & closer after just a few minutes of being in. Not only did I find the smaller size & the central power bar to work better than my professional splint, but I had no weird dreams either. I don't think as I was sleeping I was even aware it was there. I know my dentist said there are professional ones that mimic this technology, but I was told it would cost $600-$800. So for the price, this is the guard you have to try!! You'll be happy you did.

Product works better than expected - Easy to Fit
I ordered this product because my Ear, Nose, Throat doctor said I was grinding my teeth at night and not to spend a fortune with a night guard from the dentist. The product arrived with easy to read packaging and instructions. Be sure to watch the instructional video before beginning. It does help you out.I heated some water in a mug and watched the device change from white to translucent. Fitting the product on my lower teeth didn't quite feel right the first time, so I re-heated the device and refitted to a comfortable fit.Make sure you follow the directions when fitting and for the amount of time to leave in your mouth.I've been using this device for about a week now and have not had any discomfort at night. The device is snug against my teeth and I don't worry about it coming off while sleeping. The device seems to have helped with the aching of TMJ. I wake up without the pain in my jaw.I recommend this product. Make sure to read the instructions and/or watch the video.

Chipped my front tooth
TL;DR This guard chipped my tooth within the first 10 minutes of wear.I am an aggressive grinder/clencher and have dealt with TMJD for many, many years. Traditional horseshoe guards don't work for me, so I thought I'd try this OTC version of an NTI device to see if I liked it before investing in a custom-made one.I watched the video on the Grind Relief website and read through all the instructions several times before fitting it to my lower teeth. I was able to achieve a comfortable fit after a couple of tries and used nail scissors to trim off excess material so it didn't dig into my gums.Within the first 10 minutes of wearing it, I felt what I thought it was plastic breaking off from the device. But then I ran my tongue over my teeth and noticed a jagged edge. I immediately checked a mirror and, sure enough, one of my top front teeth was missing a chunk. Now I have to see my dentist to have the chip repaired (and I doubt Grind Relief will cover that cost).I truly wanted to like this product, but it's definite no for me.

Meh not great
This product is annoying. Molding it was annoying. Not sure how much of the resin or whatever needs to be there. Instructions are semi vague.Figured it out, but they are uncomfortable and while they create a gap so you don't grind, doesn't take away the urge to grind or clench on the product. It's irritating my gums and I think moving my teeth. I was eating food and i was hitting teeth that never touched. Unpleasant

Good idea, poor execution and design.
I have TMJ and clench my jaw at night. I read that regular mouth guards were protecting my teeth, but probably made the clenching worse so I thought I'd give this a try. Sadly, this did not work for me at all. I had to re-size it several times, because when it dried it shrunk and wouldn't fit over my teeth. Eventually I got it to fit, but at night my clenching only moved to my front teeth. Then the guard would push over my bottom gums - painful. I like the idea of this guard which is why I'm giving it two stars instead of one, but it still has a long way to go in design and execution.
