Are there 121 pieces or 131 pieces? The description are contradictory. And 10 rods would not be enough to model addition with regrouping.

It's 131 pieces. We have done three digit and two digit addition and subtraction with no problem with these. These are a lot better answer easier to keep up with too that the 3d models. Also a cookie sheet works well for your work space. Good luck on your purchase.
