Happy Nappers Dog

Disclosure: I am a blogger, however this was an item I purchased as a gift for my youngest because he loves dogs and I wanted to share with others. I'm only rating this adorable napping puppy dog a 3/5 stars because there were a few cons.Pros:1. My 2 yr old absolutely loves the dog, he actually hates when the dog has to go to sleep.2. The dog is plush and mostly soft.3. It's a cute product with a great idea.4. What child doesn't like a reversible toy?5. Easy to HANDWASH. (don't try tossing it in the washer it will ruin it)6. It has a doorbell and the dog snores/barks.7. He is lightweight which is great for a toddler.8. After a few months and he still loves this dog.Cons:1. Our puppy's back of the head started coming undone (seam in the back) after about a month.2. While it is reversible a toddler may have a harder time putting the dog into the dog house.3. The picture is a bit misleading, the dog is actually connected to the house and visa versa. They are not two different items.4. The dog's tummy gets really tight and disproportional which may make it harder for some to find him comfy. Thankfully this doesn't bother my little man.While I did mark this down my son definitely loves his dog which is what makes this a great product for him. But a warning because they can't do the reversible feature on their own for 2 and below and he can tear easily. My 4-year-old daughter got this as a Christmas present and I wanted to wait a little while before giving an opinion. First of all, the idea is cute, the doorbell is cute and the dog is cute, however, it all looks better on TV than in person.Problem 1: She cannot push the dog back into the dog house. Once I do it, the zipper gets caught a lot as it is a tight squeeze.Problem 2: When you pull the dog out of the dog house, you must push the dog house into the back of the dog to make him "full". The picture was a bit deceiving on this part.Problem 3: Not "comfy" enough to sleep on. Seems too overstuffed making her head uncomfortable on it.Problem 4: Played with it for maybe 2 days and now, Mr. Happy Napper is a dust collector.I'd definitely recommend a Pillow Pet over a Happy Napper....all 3 of my kids have one of them and they all still use it. No, it has no doorbell, but really, that's no big deal!

I had never heard of this item until my 7 year old niece put it on her Christmas list. Amazon.com had the best price of all sellers. I gave it to her on Christmas Eve and she was so excited. The pillow itself is very cute (looks just like the picture), soft and cuddly. The doorbell is funny - sounds like a dog snoring and then waking up. The dog stuffed animal is incredibly cute and cuddly. Getting the item to go from house to dog and vice versa was mastered in a matter of a minute - very easy to use.I saw my niece the next day and apparently she had fallen asleep on the pillow all night and was carrying the dog around. She loves it!

I'm on my third happy napper now. The first one was torn at the seam on the zipper "door". The second didn't work when you pushed the button for the sound. The third one finally worked. Beware the disappointment in your child's eyes when you tell them their new toy needs to be sent back not once, but twice. Shipping turnaround was usual, but the everyday asking for the dragon wrenches the heart. Good luck to those of you brave enough to purchase this.

The button to make him snore is hard to find and engage. When putting the dog back in the house, it is lumpy and misshaped. My 18 month old grandson was not interested.

We gave this Happy Napper to a 3 year old for her birthday and she absolutely loves it, turning it inside and out. Despite the other reviews here, we found the dog to be quite fluffy and cute and cuddly. Our niece was delighted with it and loved it as soon as she opened it and saw that it was the Happy Napper she wanted. My sister tells me that my niece loves taking a nap now that she has her Happy Napper to cuddle. Recommend this toy (pillow) to anyone wanting to give a fun and much-in-demand gift. These are hard to get and hard to find. The Pillow Pals sit on the shelves at Target and are dust collectors, these are not -- you can't even find them at Target and have to order them here or on-line. The on-line orders can be a long wait, so order here and receive them in a few days.

five stars is deserved, my lil stepsis just loved her penguin one she had before that she needed a replacement so I ordered this puppy. it's just so darn cute, soft and fluffy.I recommend as a gift or for no reason at all to any child regardless of gender.loved it so much I'm planning on gifted a few more to any child I can think of for Christmas.

Mmm, I can only give 4 stars. What kind if battery- not replaceable. What happens when doesn't work any longer. Though dog just grumbly gruffs while snoring, then seems to wake up and gives a bark.Cute.When open, house can be stuffed into dog , giving him a full look.
