Just as bright and just as durable. I don't remember the ones we used when I was in The Corps, but these things get the job done!

These things have a good glow to them, but what really blew me away was how long it lasted. I cracked one to test it, and at 13 hours it still had a glow. Yes super faint at 13 hours, but enough to see on a dark night. This means these things will last a full night as indicators, which makes them perfect for emergencies

Obviously there are a plethora of uses for these handy light sticks - Whatever the application (realistic) - These won't disappoint - I use them for film and photography work on set - While they aren't going to turn anything into searing bright noon sun, they are the perfect tool to have in the event you need light ASAP - Keep in mind these are more geared for being able to be seen rather than using them to illuminate areas to see; by no means does that mean you can't use them in place of a flashlight, it's just anyone who thinks a single glow stick is going to 'light the beacons' will be disappointed. Perfect for camping, breakdowns, signaling, etc -The ultimate sell for me and what I will say that might be the deciding factor for anyone on the fence: If your power goes out, you can use one of these to find your way to the breaker, it will illuminate the path in pitch darkness and yes, it emits enough light to read a book with -No, you won't be able to light up the house with 1 (although with several you prob could if needed) - The light does fade (but still lasts longer than what package indicates) - And these can take a beating in storage without going dead - Much safer than flares, no heat, non-toxic and regardless of the expiration date, these will live way beyond there printed shelf life. I am still using ones off ebay that I got years ago (expired in 1997) and in a side by side test of the new ones with an antique one, you can't even tell the difference -I don't think there is much of a difference between the military, industrial or high intensity ones - I can't tell any difference in brightness between the grades, and some others have pointed out the same observation - The only difference is price -Watch for the price to dip and snag them up. Great to have on hand at home, work, the car, toolbox, etc - No complaints here!

They have a good variety and all are decently bright. They lasted a bit longer than expected and overall were a very good purchase.

It's not as bright as even a cheap flashlight, but it's not meant to be. For what it is, a small chemical light that can be used as a beacon or to read a map, it's great.Kids are fascinated by them, the color is good, the longevity is good, what more can you ask of it?

I usually use them at parties and my guests like that to wear one around the neck. Safety first though.

They are chem lights, what do I say? They last as expected and are bright. Got them for Halloween as we no longer put a candle in the Jack-O-Lantern, and haven’t for some time now. My son also uses these in the summer during Boy Scout camp. We got the multiple colors to cover all our uses.

Utilizo las luces para hacer un performance parecido a la que realizan los Gauchos, sustituyo las esferas que colocan en sus cuerdas por estás luces, en las noches se ve genial, muy recomendables, duran muchísimo!

La verdad las compré para tenerlas disponibles en caso de emergencia. Probé una, para activarla y comprobar su luz, alcance y desempeño. No duran las 12 horas que comenta, pero, en caso de emergencia, te abarca perfectamente tu necesidad de iluminar durante las horas más oscuras hasta el amanecer. Probé la de luz naranja. La arrojé al pasto, la colgué, la acerqué a un libro y si tiene buena iluminación.Muy recomendable para emergencias
