Awesome Egg, Does Not Disappoint!
Amazing! Got it as a gift and I think the recipient will be very impressed. It got here safely and quickly, no scratches or cracks. Very smooth, glossy surface with tiny pores in it; very clean, no stains. The egg has been blown with a round, even hole in the bottom (a bit smaller than a quarter, I'd say) to drain the yolk and white. It is quite large and heavier than expected -it feels sturdy, and if you wanted to do carvings as I've seen people do, i'm certain this egg would stand up to it. I love it and I'm sure it's going to be a hit with the whole family on Christmas morning.

I carve them for show and sell. They are good quality, but sometimes the hole is off center.

Inaccurate description, unusable for pysanky
The description says these egg are ideal for pysanky, but the hole in the bottom is at least twice as big as it should be. There is no way to seal the egg for dyeing, making it completely useless for my purposes.Inaccurate description, unusable item. Very disappointed

Maybe Artifical
Looks like a fiber glass construction, not an Ostrich egg, maybe Emu but who knows as it appears plastic. Has dimples like a golf ball and yes it's empty but wow what a big hole.

The real deal, great shape and quality
This is the real deal, an old review said it might be fake-they have no idea what an ostrich egg looks like. Very clean, no scratches or cracks. Bubble wrapped in a box, in another box. packing was fine. Standard size fills my whole hand. Very happy

It is quite a work of art. It's lovely, it feels good too!
It's a remarkably ubiquitous shape we encounter so often in nature. But to see and hold one that is life sized is a good feeling. I have had many complements on mine. A skilled craftsman could make a nice small lamp out of it. It has a hole at the bottom that is just a tad smaller than a quarter. It's a very handsome piece and I hope you get one or two!!!
