Roswheel Tour Front Rack, Grey

Used this and fitted to my Surly disc trucker forks, an ideal and pretty perfect solution and fitting very well using the existing taped boss's. Q-R paniiers used so can be any of the ones available such as ortlieb, rhinowalk etc, etc that use the Q-R type fitting and low down adjustable retaining clip.The rack is very light and thus one of the hoop boss welds gave way when fitting, it may have been me being a bit ham fisted. Fortunately I can braise aluminum and used a map blow torch and low melt ali solder rod to re-weld the boss.I have now used the rack with loaded panniers three times for shopping and so far no further issues, I tend to overload the panniers and the rack has cariied more then the 7kg per side in weight without issue. There is some flex in the rack frame when carrying heavy loads so not really expecting to much from it should it break.

The screws for the rack it self are bad, i had to force 2 of them to go in. Now if I'll try to undo and do it again I'm afraid it will break.

Its not rocket science to put the correct sized screws in the box. Had plenty of 5mm but no 6mm to secure the hoop.

Initially I was concerned about cross threading the bolts. This wasn't an issue as they were just a snug fit requiring the hex key to be used to gently screw them down. The assembly of the rack took less than 5 minutes and it felt well made.I would recommend spending some time preparing your bike before attachment. The lever which holds the wheel on was blocking the rack from being fitted, I ensured it was horizontal allowing the rack to fit easily.I mounted the rack loosely following the online video, although the instructions are clear. I used the long spacers to mount to the lower fork.Ensuring everything was lined up I tightened the bolts, loaded the panniers and went for a ride.Very impressed so far.

Nicely made and good finish - a usual extra load space for lighter stuff. Food and stove things in my case. Recommended
