challenging but interesting for oil pastels on this paper
this paper could be great for gouache.for oil pastels one has to be a bit more careful because the paper is quite smooth with very little tooth. so layering has to be done more carefully.however, its smoothness also gives much flexibility for playing with texture.probably best to use fixative once done as storage would be a problem, with the pigment sliding or scraping off the paper surface.it also wonderful for wax pencils & oil pencils.on the whole whether one is using pencils or oil pastels, the colours are a joy against the black!
