Bobby erkennt die Signifikanz dieser Worte erst spät, aber dann lassen sie ihn nicht mehr los. Nach und nach tauchen mehr Ungereimtheiten auf, bis Bobby schließlich selbst in Gefahr gerät! Seine Kindheitsfreundin Lady Frances Derwent, genannt Frankie, ist überzeugt: sie müssen dem Ganzen gemeinsam auf die Spur kommen!Was folgt ist ein spannender und an Wendungen reicher Fall, wie ihn sich nur Agatha Christie ausdenken kann! Klar, man merkt dem Buch an der einen oder anderen Stelle sein Alter an (erschienen 1934!), aber wer klassische Krimis mag, kann hier nichts falsch machen. Am Ende denkt man sich, wie immer eigentlich: warum bin ich da nicht selbst drauf gekommen? Und doch ist der Plot so genial, dass das beinahe umöglich ist! Wunderbare Unterhaltung, ein fabelhafter Krimi von Agatha Christie!
