Fly fishing
This is great for delicate small water fly fishing. The downside is, the elasticated feeder band around the spool is very tight and when pulling the tippet to the required length, it curls the tippet, this is not good in presentation as a 3/4 foot of coiled tippet on the water surface is a disaster.

Looks the part, poor knot strength on the 7X
I am an experienced fly-fisherman, but logistically challenged sometimes. I normally use Fulling Mill leader material but was in danger of running out on for a planned trip so bought this because of the prime next day delivery. It looked okay and survived the tug between 2 thumbs test. However, the loss of 7 flies in the space of 90 minutes, all at the knot, suggests otherwise - at least for the 7x. I always use a tucked half blood knot, lubricated when it is pulled tight. I have only ever lost a fly on Fulling Mill when stuck fast on a stone or tree. This leader material will snap off a fly when casting. After the 7th fly I went back to my dwindling stock of Fulling Mill (same diameter) and didn’t lose another fly all afternoon. Very disappointed and will not buy again.

Sturdy, almost invisible in the water
This is a sturdy line which can feel a bit stiff but sinks well and in the water is virtually invisible.The line is hard to break and probably stronger than the indicated strength.Partner used for fly fishing at the lake by our holiday home which is stocked with trout. Line held the tied knots for the flies well without coming loose.Partner very pleased with it and said they would recommend it.
