This album could not have a better name.......it's spot on!
Sarah; Speaks for herself; She is incredible from the first to last cut........She is mellow and meaningful and just fun to listen to........ She is my place to go for Solace..........because she sure can bring it to you. If you want a nice CD that will bring you those times when you just want peace yet wonderful music and a terrific voice. Pick up this very beautiful piece of music by Sarah. I find her a very important part of my music listening........because few could ever have the nerve to name their Album Solace and not Ever be criticized for it. Premium time is what you will get with her..............

Different and wonderful
Solace is one of Sarah's earlier works, but it is no less good. Seemingly some sort of mixture of folk music, rock, and pop, the music has a rich style and flavor all its own. In many ways this album is less "mature" and less "edgy" than her later works, but this is made up for with plenty of raw authenticity, emotional nakedness, and heart. Qualities that shine through in "Into the Fire", "Back Door Man", "Home", and "Mercy" (among others).A must have album for any true Sarah McLachlan fan.

McLachlan's 1991 "Solace" is a treat
After hearing "Drawn to the Rhythm" on the radio, I ordered "Solace CDand was very pleased with it. Good lyrics as usual and "Drawn..." isthe first cut and very haunting with an Irish lilt to it. I am glad thatI purchased it as it is a pleasing listening experience. A few are alittle sad, but there is a good mix nonetheless. If you like SaraMcLachlan, then you will enjoy this CD.
