The media could not be loaded.  Exactly what I needed. I rarely use a teleprompter, but have had a few jobs where having one around would have saved a lot of time and headaches. All the ones I’ve used prior have either been too bulky or expensive to justify owning for my use case until this one.Super compact case with separate compartments so it can all travel safely and doesn’t take up much space in my pelican case.The prompter itself travels 90% assembled and maybe requires 5 minutes to get up and rolling.The remote control was confusing at first, but after reading the manual, I saw to connect in-app and it was instant.Everything feels solid and well made. My only note is that a smart phone may be too small to use effectively. Hoping to test on a tablet and possibly add one to my kit in the near future as well.Overall, impressive quality for the price and well worth it for the solo shooter!

I like this a lot better than I thought I would. I looked at several models in the same price point and went with this one. The case is great - it took a minute and a couple tutorial videos to figure out how to assemble it, but once I did, I'm really impressed. It's pretty ingeniously designed.With such a fine unit, I was excited by the remote, but disappointed at how clicky it is. You can definitely hear it clicking on the recorded video - super frustrating and annoying. I wish it had a nice quiet touch to remain invisible on the audio track. (If there's ever any update to this hardware issue, i'd love to know about it - It makes the teleprompter much nicer for pacing, but almost impossible to actually use since the clicking is so prominent.)The app is also really rudimentary. It works for what it is, but there's no import. Best work-around I found was emailing myself the script and copy/pasting it into the app.

The teleprompter came in a handful of parts (not many) but with no clear instructions on how to assemble. The instruction booklet included only provides instructions in Chinese (?) It does have pictures but not labeled diagrams and the pictures are basically of someone assembling the parts (vs of how the parts connect). They were too tiny to see the parts clearly. Still, for all that I think I could have assembled except that the connectors provided do not seem to be long enough. Not sure what is the real issue... could be parts were missing or the instructions might have helped if offered in other languages or I received a flawed product or this is just a poorly made product in general. Will not purchase again or attempt exchange/customer service troubleshooting, it does not seem very sturdy (3 out of 5 for sturdiness) though it is probably on par for the price point.

I bought this teleprompter to assist me with talking points on videos and this one is a dud. The first thing is it's so hard to assemble and I had to watch a separate review on someone's YouTube channel to actually learn how to put it together. The main issue I have with it though is the fact that my film is grey cast! It almost looked like a weird filter over the footage. Huge negatory. Returning for a better one.

The YC Onion is a very nice and affordable option for a mobile or small tablet teleprompter beacause the screen is not as small as others devices and the remote works perfect once you realize it has a 2 seconds delay (when you stop it and click play again) you have to count 2 seconds and then starts rolling.The other thing is that it has a good look so you can impress clients that are already happy because they are reading through the lens instead of the always nerve racking talk in front of the camera sindrome.I would definitely recommend it.

I had the parrot teleprompter which became useless with the new update and the remote wont work so i decided to buy another one, this was my choice and I never looked back, love itDoes anyone know where i can buy the remote separately? I work daily using the TelePrompTer and remote is tiny and afraid i may lose it

What a disappointment. Do NOT waste your money. I looked up every video online I could to figure out how to assemble and still didn't work. ALSO pretty sure it was missing the stand and ANY other material needed to connect it together. Or from the looks of it-- it just doesn't come with it? No stand???? No way to connect?
