MCITP Guide to Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Server Administration, Exam #70-646 1st Edition

Good product, and timely delivery.

It may just be inevitable given the huge amount of individual concepts and details in server administration, but I find this book very hard to learn from. The author constantly refers to terms and acronyms for things that have not yet been discussed, and then discusses them a few sections or chapters later. This may be inevitable given how interconnected various pieces of server administration are, but it makes for a very disjointed learning experience.

Using it with the kindle fire is convenient, yet requires more work adjusting the screen to bigger text and moving the screen back and forth to view each line. If you're using the book for class participation, be advised that you may find it difficult to find related text and graphics figures in the kindle fire version. I also notice that the graphics can be a little fuzzy.

Bought for class kept as reference...great way to learn Server 2008, 2008R, labs will walk you through all you need to know as a administrator, comes with two cds to help prepare you for the exam as well

I recently used this in a college class and was very easy to comprehend. The exercises were arranged in a step by step process that can be understood and easily followed. If you're going for this particular certification I would get this guide.

If you are expecting to learn server administration with this book; you will be disappointed. It does come with a 180 day windows server 2008 32-bit installation cd and a study guide cd.

Price is great, I really dislike paying hundreds for a book I'll only use for a few weeks. The kindle app is great and easier to use than most other e-reading software.

It may sound childish, but having the step by step exercise along with the screenshots of what menu or place it is at helps alot. I really was happy with this book. No complaints.

I ordered the book a year ago (2015). was part of my course for windows administration
