Wayne VIP50 Thermoplastic Portable Electric Water Removal Pump

The pump is used in a garden pond with continuous running. The previous one (same model) lasted a decade. The replacement failed after 40 days. The pump is not clogged. It turns on for 10 seconds and trips the circuit breaker. I have just contacted the manufacturer about replacement/repair. UPDATE - the manufacturer provided a replacement under warranty with the note that it was "a one time replacement". The second pump failed after 1 month of use. The new one now trips the GFCI as soon as it is plugged in. It will run if plugged into a non-protected circuit but that is not ideal for use in water. I have tried it in a couple of different GFCI circuits and all trip immediately. My theory (and it is just a guess) is that the internal lubrication has leaked into the circuitry and trips the GFCI circuits. Unfortunately, the Amazon return window has passed, so I am out the money.

I use this sump pump to water my orchids in the greenhouse on days when I fertilize. I make a trash-can full of fertilizer-water, and the pump delivers! Love it.

Found this pump as a continous run pump. The blue pump is not for continous running. I like the long 25' cord as internal oil will not seep out the cord over time as I have experienced with shorted cords.5-13-15: But the pump failed after 5 weeks of service. Started tripping GFI outlet. Little Giant is replacing the pump under warranty though. I have found a switched to this pump: ; Little Giant F Series F10-1200 566724 Wet Rotor Pump with 20-Feet Cord, 1200GPH. It is rated for continuous service. Will see how it lasts.

I installed the pump once the weather improved (rain, rain, rain and more rain on the Washington peninsula). Once I set the pump in place of the original, which lasted over 7 years, I plugged it in and it has run PERFECTLY ever since. I am very satisfied with the pumps pressure, as it jets up from a granite slab around 12-15 inches. I have rated this seller and product 5 stars as it has performed exactly as I wanted and expected, and the service and shipping was as described.

The pump works well for our backyard pond and waterfall.

Quit working and failed after 25 months. When I plug it in it blows the circuit breaker every time. Only has a 12 month warranty.

Works great, the replace pump was easy install by removing my old piping and had go to Lowe's to get the final replacement thread connect to pump to tube.
