A Ritual-Ready Vessel | Superior Glaze Quality & Thoughtful Ergonomics
I’ve been looking for a dedicated "slow-down" mug that could handle a full 18 oz steep without the tea getting cold before I finish. Many ceramic mugs use lead-based glazes for shine, so I was specifically drawn to Mora Ceramics for their commitment to lead-free, cadmium-free, and PFOA-free materials. After a week of daily herbal tea sessions, here is how it performs. Craftsmanship & Material Feel • The "Paladin Clay" Build: You can feel the quality the moment you pick it up. It’s made from a high-fired clay that feels denser and more "stoneware-like" than standard porcelain. It has a reassuring weight (1.4 lbs) that helps with heat retention. • Rustic Matte Glaze: The "Olive" finish is stunning. It’s a matte reactive glaze, meaning there are subtle variations in the color that give it a handmade, artisanal look. It’s smooth to the touch but not "slippery," which is vital for a mug this size. • Health & Safety: Knowing the glaze is 100% lead-free is the primary reason I chose this. For a mug that holds hot liquids for long periods, material safety isn't optional, and Mora provides the testing transparency that Vine reviewers appreciate. The Steeping System • Fine Mesh Infuser: The 18/8 stainless steel filter is exceptionally fine. I tested it with Rooibos (which is notoriously "dusty") and very little sediment escaped into the cup. The "lift tab" is well-positioned, allowing you to remove the hot metal without burning your fingers. • Dual-Purpose Lid: The lid is a masterclass in functional design. It keeps the essential oils and heat trapped during the 5–7 minute steep, and then it flips over to act as a perfectly fitted coaster for the wet infuser. No more tea rings on the desk. • Thermal Performance: Because the ceramic is thick, it holds heat significantly longer than a standard coffee mug. I found my tea stayed at an optimal drinking temperature for about 35–40 minutes with the lid on. Fit & Maintenance • The Handle: The handle is oversized and "humanized." I can fit all four fingers through comfortably, which is necessary to balance an 18 oz drink safely. • Cleaning: I’ve run it through the dishwasher three times now. The matte glaze hasn't faded, and the stainless steel infuser hasn't shown any signs of spotting or rust. It’s also microwave-safe, which is great for a quick 30-second reheat. Pros & Cons ✅ Pros: • 18 oz Capacity: The perfect "large" size that doesn't require constant refills. • Lead-Free Guarantee: A rare find in trendy ceramic colors. • Gift-Ready Packaging: It comes in a beautifully designed box that emphasizes the "Hit Pause" philosophy. ❌ Cons: • Metallic Markings: Like most matte ceramics, you might see "grey lines" if you use metal spoons aggressively. This isn't a scratch in the glaze, but metal residue. A quick wipe with "Bar Keeper's Friend" removes them instantly. Final Verdict The Mora Tea Mug isn't just a cup; it’s an invitation to slow down. From the tactile matte finish to the precision of the infuser, every element feels intentional. If you’re a loose-leaf enthusiast who values both aesthetics and chemical safety, this is the definitive mug for your collection.

The Mora Ceramics Large Tea Mug with Infuser is a stylish, functional, and easy-to-use tea mug.
Mora Ceramics Large Tea Mug with Loose Leaf Infuser and Ceramic Lid Review As a regular tea drinker, I’ve tried many mugs, but the Mora Ceramics Large Tea Mug with Loose Leaf Infuser and Ceramic Lid has quickly become one of my favorites. Here’s my comprehensive review from an actual user’s perspective, covering everything from performance to design and usability. Performance: ★★★★★ The Mora Ceramics Tea Mug does an excellent job when it comes to performance. The 18 oz size is perfect for a generous serving of tea or coffee, and the included loose leaf infuser ensures that my tea steeps to perfection every time. I especially love that the infuser fits snugly into the mug, allowing for easy and controlled steeping. The ceramic material holds heat well, so my tea stays warm throughout my busy mornings. Plus, it's microwave safe, making it convenient to reheat without any issues. Design: ★★★★★ The design of this mug is truly what sets it apart from other tea mugs on the market. The rustic matte ceramic glaze in olive is elegant yet modern, fitting seamlessly into my kitchen décor. The shape of the mug is tall and sleek, making it easy to hold and drink from, whether I'm enjoying my tea in the morning or sipping on herbal tea in the evening. The ceramic lid is a thoughtful touch, not only helping to keep the tea warm but also serving as a holder for the infuser when I’m done steeping. It adds both function and aesthetic value to the overall look of the mug. Usability: ★★★★★ This mug is incredibly easy to use. The loose leaf infuser is simple to remove, and cleaning it is a breeze, which is important for someone who uses it multiple times a day. The ceramic lid keeps the tea warm and doubles as a practical catch for the infuser once the tea has steeped. I also love that this mug is dishwasher safe, so it’s low-maintenance in terms of cleaning, which fits perfectly into my busy lifestyle. Whether I’m making my morning tea or having a late-night herbal infusion, this mug suits my needs effortlessly. Portability: ★★★★☆ While this mug is a bit larger than the average tea mug, making it slightly bulkier to carry around, it is still portable enough to take with me when I need a tea fix on the go. However, since it’s ceramic, it’s not as travel-friendly as a stainless-steel or plastic travel mug. But for enjoying tea at home or at work, it’s absolutely perfect. If you’re looking for a highly portable mug, you may need something smaller and more compact, but for regular home use, this mug is ideal. Durability: ★★★★★ I’ve been using this mug for several weeks now, and it shows no signs of wear or damage. The ceramic is sturdy and the finish holds up well against daily use. The lid is solid, and the infuser fits securely, so I never have to worry about spills or leaks. This mug seems like it will last for a long time, even with frequent use, making it a great investment for tea lovers. --- Pros: Great Size: 18 oz is perfect for a satisfying cup of tea or coffee. Loose Leaf Infuser: Convenient and ensures the perfect steep every time. Elegant Design: The rustic matte glaze is chic and fits well in modern kitchens. Easy to Clean: Microwave and dishwasher safe for hassle-free maintenance. Keeps Tea Warm: The ceramic lid helps retain heat and also serves as a holder for the infuser. Cons: Not Highly Portable: It’s a bit bulky for carrying around compared to travel mugs. Fragile: Being ceramic, it’s not as durable against drops as a stainless-steel mug. --- Conclusion: ★★★★★ The Mora Ceramics Large Tea Mug with Loose Leaf Infuser and Ceramic Lid is a beautifully designed, practical, and functional mug that I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a good cup of tea or coffee. Its sleek design, high-quality ceramic build, and thoughtful features like the infuser and lid make it an excellent choice for both everyday use and special tea moments. Whether you're a casual tea drinker or a dedicated herbal tea enthusiast, this mug will elevate your tea experience. Rating: ★★★★★

Great for Tea!
Love the design. Keeps heat pretty well. Wish the lid stayed on better while the tea is steeping, but it does stay put. Take the lid off, flip it over, and rest the steeper on it when it's done--simple to use. Handle's great. Like the texture of the bottom of the mug.

Love it!
Best tea mug ever! Keeps the tea hot and the appearance is so nice! It’s very portable and the size is perfect. I gave it to my son and he was very happy with the purchase! Makes making tea easier. You can steep it with the lid and use the lid to put the used tea basket on.

Good looking cup, functionality could be better
The cup gets hotter on the outside than I would like. The lid is cute but doesn't stay on well so it's kind of pointless. Cup does look good

Perfect for Keurig Coffee Machines: No Spillage!
This review is for people who need the perfect-sized mug for a Keurig coffee machine with a messy pour. This mug is the one. At 5.9 inches, and with a width that encompasses the Keurig’s spray, the Mona Ceramics large tea mug handles 12 ounces of coffee at the strong setting with a quarter cup of oat milk (or whatever it is you use). And there will be absolutely no spillage to clean up after (see photos). Yes, I know this is a tea mug, and I myself drink tea. But loose-leaf tea herded into a paper filter isn’t nearly as fussy as a K-Cup machine. And BTW: the Mona mug topped with its lid still fits perfectly under the K-Cup Express, in case you wish to leave your coffee there to cool. I hesitated before buying this mug because of all the bad reviews of other models that I suspect are as excellent as this one. Nearly all such reviewers complain about the lid without seeming to understand its function. The point is not to keep liquid from spilling, since these aren’t travel mugs. Pottery-style ceramic mugs would break in that usage-case scenario. The point of the lid is to protect the liquid inside: tea while it’s brewing or, in my case, *coffee while it’s cooling in the midst of a heat wave*, when throat-searing beverages aren’t as appealing as they might be on days when it’s so cold your postal worker’s eyelashes fuse with your mailbox lid. In my home, I’m not worried about coffee or tea leaking out if I’m hapless enough to capsize my cup. I’m worried about dust, flies, wayward bees, paint and other unwelcome guests landing in said cup while the contents are chilling or brewing. I do wish this mug came in a powder blue that complemented my decor, but a small business can’t go wild with color schemes. Clearly, only four colors were feasible and light gray isn’t bad in this case. But after spending hours on Amazon researching the right measurements and materials for a flavor-preserving but tidy K-cup mug, this one proved to be the most aesthetically beautiful, made of the best materials, and capable of spanning the height and depth of my K-Express's mug niche. BTW: I’ve received broken ceramic cups from Amazon in the past. Mona Ceramics mugs don’t have that problem. They come in their own boxes with perfectly measured inserts of foam that prevent the contents from moving a centimeter. I was a studio keyboardist for 30 years and the gray cutouts remind me a lot of how Dave Smith used to package his timeless instruments. Clearly, Mona Ceramics is a class act in every way. I’ll be ordering from this company again.

Really perfect mug, yes really
I love this mug. It's tall and PERFECT. I like a lot of tea in the morning and this fits the bill. The ceramic lid, is NOT TO CARRY along for spills. It helps extract flavor better while steeping, keeps in hot while steeping among other things, and I use tea leaves so I like all that goodness in my mug. This mug is easy to carry, looks nice, has a nice handle and I will be ordering another one.
