Australian GoldSPF 30 Plus High Protection Water Resistant Spray Gel 237ml

***This can't be used on your face, which is a major disadvantage, feels like chili's have been rubbed on after two or three minutes.***Every year, my daughter and I go to Northern Italy, and I've always tried mixing beach with sight seeing, last year beach won, as did the blazing 35°C high UV sunshine. I had the worst case of sunburn in 30 odd years because we were relying on run of the mill "water resistant" sunscreen...more like sweat proof.Luckily for our faces, I'd brought another water resistant sunscreen along to test with a slightly higher SPF, Jack Black (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/r.html?C=38VLIQ1P7ES9H&K=XVVFZDS7FC27&M=urn:rtn:msg:20180730011931fb299490193244a69f450b371180p0eu&R=AD45WYF02Y3&T=C&U=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.co.uk%2Fdp%2FB003CR4KRM%2Fref%3Dpe_3187911_189395841_TE_dp_2&H=DRRSRHPEHSOZZ1HOPKSTMWA2V4MA&ref_=pe_3187911_189395841_TE_dp_2), which had little aroma, absorbed well into the skin on first application, and you could see water bead off your face and body in use. My skin felt more moisturised after using it.The good things for the Aussie, it smells lovely, slightly tropical, made it easier to put on my daughter. It rubs in well on first application, it did the job on the beach.The meh things, it's actually made in the USA (what the f...!), so could be a marketing ploy, didn't seem anywhere near as resistant as the Jack Black. Even allowing for difference in SPF, the Aussie let through a lot more UV, my torso was considerably darker than my face by day three, we started to only use Mr Black when swimming lots and Aussie later in the day.Not so good, reapplication didn't seem or feel like it was happening, unless you titled down each limb before you went, any moisture seemed to prevent application or dilute it.This feels like it's meant to help bronze in hot climates, and be showered off before reapplication.I wanted to really like this and give it full marks, it doesn't live up to my expectations, and doesn't match up to the performance of the other sunscreen we took.It's probably better for active walking than the sea or pool, even better for pool lounging.

Along with the Australian Gold Tan Accelerator, I ordered this recently, and it seems to be ideal - with no issues of the 'sun rash' I'd experienced on a holiday abroad a couple of weeks ago. Reviews of this and their Tan Accelerator looked promising to help with rashes, and I've used both products over the past few days as we've had great weather here (and I wanted to keep up with my tan!)...and I've had no sun rash! When we first got home I'd carried on using the sun protection products I'd had whilst away, and still got the same rash as while we were away - but nothing at all as soon as I started using this Australin Gold product and their Tan Accelerator. I don't know if it's both the Australian Gold products that have helped, or one or the other...but I'm sticking with both and will order more for the future!

I received this product today and I can say the only good thing about it is it’s scent .I have relatively fair skin and I sprayed a lot on .. not a gel a white dream probably just re packaged from other bottle .. and within 10 mins I could feel myself burning and going red ... waste of money . Had to top up with soltan factor 50 . Oh and it doesn’t have a lid either just turns to lock .

I have used this for years and as long as I top up sensibly every 2-3 hours I have never been burnt even when I move down to a 15, it goes on amazingly smoothly and easily and you don't need much to cover a few minutes and its on and a few minutes more and it dry. I can highly recommend.

Absolutely love this sunscreen. It smells AMAZING. It’s hard to find in the Uk so I jumped on the chance to get it on here. It is long lasting and lasts most the day: we use it on the kids in the morning and top them up midday and it works a treat.
