Frida Kahlo: Fashion as the Art of Being (Legends) Hardcover – March 22, 2016

The book came very well-packed, in excellent condition, and ahead of schedule. Bravo!

I love Frida Kahlo and I love fashion so this book seemed like a "must" to add to my collection. I was not disappointed. A mesmerizing combination of portraits, momentos, quotes and art of and by Frida (thankfully many of which I had never seen) combined with a history of contemporary fashion and media derived from her influence. Years ago I fell in love with Christian Lacroix's 2009 fall collection and was delighted to see one of his creations juxaposed to an inspiring image of Frida from the 1940's.The book features a nice slip case presentation, large images with sharp resolution on as many as feasible and enough text to keep it all flowing.Good luck if you can find this book at the lowest price possible (like I did) and/or use credit cards points (like I did) to help pay for this book.

I'm glad that I purchased this book at the lower price of $119.12. My boyfriend paid for half of the cost as a Christmas gift. The full retail price is about $199.00. The book is nicely laid out, but many of the photos are borrowed from other books such as the Chronicle book called "Self Portrait in a Velvet Dress" and another book titled "Frida Kahlo Her Photos". Many of the black and white photos fill the entire pages of this coffee table book. When these photos are blown up this large they are very grainy. I didn't feel that the book offered any new insight on Frida Kahlo. I found it to be a disappointment.

This was a gift for my best friend and as a lover of Frida she was very happy.

Gorgeous book but pay attention to the measurements, this is a big book! LOVE the hot pink slipcover and turquoise book, looks absolutely gorgeous on any bookshelf or coffee table.

Amazing book, beyond beautiful pictures. It is a true work of art. Pricey but worth every penny for any Frida fan

Beautiful book - It's really more than a coffee table book!

Interesting and beautiful book

This book is a must for any Frida Kahlo fan. Very high quality photos, also a very high quality book. This is quite a large book in a stunning protective case. I went to the Frida Kahlo exhibition and the V & A and this book brings back all the memories along with the Frida Kahlo book published by the V & A. Frida Kahlo Fashion as the Art of Being is definitely a book to treasure.

Absolutely stunning! A beautiful book with narrative of her life, personal photos, fashion references and artwork. Not only does the sleeve look amazing but the content within is superb. As a huge fan of Frida, I cannot wait for the V&A exhibition coming up in June 2018 which is showcasing her personal effects hidden away previously in her home in Mexico. I will now be able to make reference to them. Thank you Susana Martinez Vidal for this beautiful tome :)

Just a beautiful book. Very high quality. The pink cover shown is the heavy weight sleeve and the book itself is that lovely soft blue shown on the spine. A nice mix of photographs and paintings. Have not read it yet as still enjoying just looking at the images. It was an expensive purchase, but what a treasure.

It is a Christmas gift so have not had any feed back yet.
