Just what I needed!
So... I bought this because my kid swore a bug crawled in her ear while she was asleep. In addition to that, her friend did have an ant crawl in his ear while they went camping so I think she was just paranoid. There was nothing in her ear besides wax which was probably shifting, so she thought it was a bug haha.Nevertheless, I've used it a few times now, and also to discover that my son had an ear infection, the redness and all was very visible with the bright light. It comes with more than one shield also for sanitizing between usages. Great product, not too bad of a price either

You get what you pay for
Cheaply made, but did the job for my school class! Only had to use it 1-2 times for a practice assessment. Essentially a pen light with a topper.

Great for Home 1st Aid Kit
We keep this in our home first aid kit for emergencies. Makes it easy to take a peak inside when an earache comes on to help determine if it is wax build up, an infection, or (my worst nightmare) a bug. Price is great and it takes up little space. Worthwhile to have on hand.

Great For Therapy Purposes, Dreadful As an Actual Otoscope
So this came in the mail today. So first up, if you're in any sort of program where you need to use an otoscope, don't get this. Seriously. It's cheap, thin, the light is glitchy on mine, poorly made, and you can't visualize anything appropriately with it. And you're not going to learn the skills you need as a practitioner if you can't visualize anything. For medical purposes, this is a 1 star product. But let's say you've got a kiddo with Autism or some other fear of medical devices and you need something that looks realistic enough to be credible, but don't want to spend good money to buy the real deal? This is definitely the product for you. For therapy purposes, this is a 5 star product, and that happens to be what I bought it for. Because toy otoscopes come in strange colors and sizes that my very literal son would look at and not associate with an actual otoscope. And after what he did to my student stethoscope and BP cuff in the modules we used those for, there's no way we're risking the real deal on this handsome little dude.So as you've probably guessed from above, we've been working on desensitizing our son to items he would encounter in his recent hospital adventure, and I saw such tremendous improvements in his ability to handle those items, we're now expanding out to other things. And since he gets 2-3 ear infections a year, and otoscopes are a standard part of most medical exams, this is one of the key items we're working with next. And I was super pleased with this. If I were rating it for that purpose alone, again, it would be a 5 star product. But given that's not what it's supposed to be for, I kind of put it in the middle. But seriously, if you care about your future patients you should heed my advice if you actually need this for your schooling and get something else.

Handy
This is a handy tool to have around for overall health, especially if you have small children.

Didn't work right out of the package
The package looked like it was used/returned to begin with. Put batteries in it and it doesn't work.Sadly it would cost me the same that i paid for it to return it :(

They all wanted to look into a ear and see what it looks like. It was hilarious
I purchased this for a pretend doctor kit for my granddaughter. She wanted a doctor's bag with "real" equipment. When I gave it to her, she had a hard time keeping this otoscope from the adults. They all wanted to look into a ear and see what it looks like. It was hilarious. My granddaughter eventually got her turn using it, though and everyone was happy. It is a very nice quality for the price and does really work.

Waste of money
First off I would like to add this package was over a week late. I bought this during the sale and the day it was due to arrive I received an email stating they were unable fill my order at that time and they would ship it when they were able and after I pay the full price. I had canceled my order then, but they still billed my card and sent the order. That really wasn't a big deal because the otoscope was fairly cheap. However when it finally did arrive the batteries and other 2 heads were not there. So I paid more money and waited longer for an incomplete package. Also I knew because of the price it wasn't going to be super impressive however I can not see through the lense because it is so blurry and I have to hold the button the whole time to keep the light on and the heads are way to long to effectively use in an adult ear let alone a child's. I am very unhappy and fill ripped off completely
