For those of you of a similar age as myself and a basketball fan, the players in this book are as recognisable as your own limbs. The collection of players bought together for this first professional US Olympic team was not only unprecedented, but in my humble opinion, as of yet unmatched.The memories of opponents lining up to be photographed with their NBA idols, point guards laughing as Jordan dunked on them and Angola taking the lead by a single point in the opening game, only to be steamrollered for the next half are still as fresh now as they were then. It could be said that this is the defintive book on the '92 team, but I can't help feeling that perhaps essays written by the players and interspersed throughout the book would have made this a slightly easier read.Just by assembling this team of superstars, many of whom are still heavily involved in the game, is an achievement in and of itself and must be akin to hearding cats, albeit millionaire superstar cats and for that he is to be heavily commended and I would recommend this book to anybody that watched this incredible collection of superstars play in Barcelona.

Il libro era venduto come usato con condizioni pari al nuovo, ed in effetti è ben tenuto.Non fosse per una scritta nella prima pagina evidentemente fatta dal precedente proprietario.Per il resto, libro meraviglioso che possedevo già in italiano in formato ebook e che ho voluto avere anche cartaceo in lingua originale.

Un excelente libro acerca del mejor equipo de básquetbol, conformado por los mejores jugadores de la mejor liga del mundo en la época.El libro llegó a tiempo, aunque por ser exportado desde estados unidos, llego abierto y un poco lastimado de un borde. Por eso le quito una estrella a la calificación. Fuera de eso, en excelente estado.

Niente potrà mai equiparare quella squadra, non solo per il valore dei singoli componenti ma per il particolare momento in cui è apparso, conquistando milioni di persone all'epoca inconsapevoli perfino di cosa fosse il basket.Il libro racconta molto bene tutte le faticose e convulse fasi che hanno portato alla creazione di quella squadra, illustra episodi quasi sconosciuti, delinea in maniera vivida le personalità e i caratteri dei vari componenti, non mancando di sottolinearne difetti o mancanze.Stupendo il racconto di come si sono sviluppate amicizie e rivalità durante il Torneo di Qualificazione e le Olimpiadi, con improbabili amicizie (Harry e Larry), selvaggia vita sociale (Chuck), un uomo che viveva in un mondo separato (ovviamente...) e tanti altri aneddoti. Unico peccato del libro: dopo poche ore di avida lettura l'ho terminato...
