Cheaper materials than the last one I purchased.
As with all manufacturers, Vanight appears to have tried to increase margins by utilizing less and/or cheaper materials. This light was to replace the exact same flash flight that my wife dropped and broke. The material seems to be thinner. Most noticeable is that while the exterior dimensions appear to be the same (although there are noticeable design differences as well), the interior battery chamber has more space and side to side wiggle room. Therefore, you can hear the batteries shift side to side especially when setting it down on a table. I’ll come back and update after some use, but initially the quality of the parts has definitely gone down therefore a 5-star product has now become a 4-star product.

Having a good flashlight is important to us
My wife and I, spend about 1/2 our year in our RV. Having a good flashlight is important to us. I really wanted something small that I could carry. I bought one of these lights and was extremely pleased. Very sturdy and small. Similar to a large pen. I was actually shocked at how bright the device was and that it outshines many of my bigger flashlights. I went back and bought two more for a total of 3. This is a great flashlight.

Too blue!
The bad -- I am a bit disappointed in the color; it is quite blue. I don't think I'll buy again because of that.The good -- Beam spread and battery life are similar to other penlights I own. The switch is nice and crisp, not squishy.

Great bright light for stashing away
Great light to stash in the car. Very bright for being a little light. I'm a flashlight snob and like to buy random ones to have around. The thin size is great for stashing when you need a light that works well. It will light up the tree tops fairly well, so it's much better than the old school flashlights with a bulb and mirror.

Penlight
I had a similar penlight before and this one is brighter by a good margin. The push button switch went out on my other penlight (different brand) and this one doesn't feel any higher quality on the switch so time will tell how long it lasts. Good form factor and usability though.

Always in my shirt pocket during the day , a supper handy, Bright light. Also this is my choice of a compact, bright handy light for my PJs shirt or PJs pocket, yep no stumbeling arround after loosing electricity ( I LIve In the Country).
