One of my concerns was adequate range of the remote control so I preformed some measurements before I installed these in my Jeep to control the rock lights.As shipped the antenna is a short curled up black wire. Leaving the wire curled up and testing the range I found I could get 150 feet from the receiver and the hand held remote transmitter was able to connect and control 100% of the time. As I went beyond that point out to 175 and beyond the receiver was having difficulty seeing the click of the remote. It would work intermittently only.Uncurling the wire and making it stand upright I repeated the experiment and was able to get out to 225 feet before the receiver was no longer able to reliably respond to the remote. At 225 feet it was 100% reliable. Beyond that I could get it to work intermittently.Great features with their system able to interchange remotes from one relay or the other. The ability to program each button is brilliant and very flexible. I'll use a two button remote to control my system and a three button remote to program my strobes and then put it away until needed later. The remotes feel good in the hand, not cheap.Installation is simple with two wires for + and - 12 VDC and then the relay one input and the two outputs. One output is normally closed - it connects to the relay's common input when at rest and goes off/opens when the relay activates. The second output is normally open - it is disconnected from the relay's common input when at rest and comes one when the relay activates.I attempted to measure the current draw of the receiver deactivated and the current draw is so small my digital meter does read it - it's less than 0.01 amps. With the relay activated I read 0.025 amps or about 1/3 of a watt power so this thing is very frugal. I have no concerns about leaving this on my car battery for weeks and months at that low of a drain.There are no written instructions included so just print out the photo here or follow the video. I bought a total of five of these relays and will likely buy more. Good product.

These are cost effective solutions to bring the yard into the 21 century. Two remotes, two controllers, and the SPDT relay contacts are totally uncommitted allowing you to do what you need with them. It draws just 5mA in the quiescent state from a 12v power supply, and about 60mA when the relay is energized. They have great range, about 300' in my backyard is no problem. I programmed button A on one remote to toggle one receiver, and button B for the second receiver. The only negative is that programming them has to be done with the plastic snap lid removed, and it is the lid that has the mounting feet, so they have to be floating when you set them up. You have to be able to push the learn button. Maybe I could have drilled a hole through the lid and used a toothpick to press the button.The remotes are sturdy, well made, with chrome metal trim. I find the price incredible, it opens up a hot of possibilities!

You can use this to remote control anything on a basic single pole double throw relay. I used it to trick my jeeps horn so I could pass inspection without having to replace a very pricy part.The best features are that it's compact, it has, NO and NC, it runs on an easy 12v, and it also has constant pressure activation instead of pulsed. Good little device for any little project you may have. It also breaks apart really easily so you can integrate the circuitry. Also the remotes circuit board around the button is big enough to solder your own remote switch to without having to remove the original button (witch is what I did)

Would have been a 5 star product is the seller sent instructions. I was able to find setup instructions from another seller's site. Very easy to setup and install. Using for an old broken garage door opener. No security like real opener, but I don't need that. Good range. Remotes use standard 2032 battery. Will give an update after using for a while.Update: Still working fine. Opens or closes garage door every time as expected. Very good range on the remotes.

Fast fix for a 22 year old lift master that the Rf quit working on, just need a 12v dc supply and yer good to go. Paired the two remotes and set it up for momentary operation, easy peasy. Not the best for security but until I take the opener apart and troubleshoot the control module suffice it will.You can even swap the little circuit boards from the remotes so it will clip onto the visor or whatever...

If the lack instructions were the only problem with this order, I would have given it four stars as the video and pics in the description provide enough info to get it working. However, one of the pics shows that the relay is rated for 10Amps at 28Volts DC. That's what I needed and was part of the reason I purchased this one over so many other options. However, the unit I received is only rated for 7 Amps at 28 Volts DC. I'm disappointed with the receiver but I like the one button transmitters.

I haven't actually installed them yet but have set them up and are ready to. Surprisingly easy to program and set up as long as you read the directions attached to this product page on Amazon. I will confess I have extensive electronics knowledge so that may have made it easier, but if you pay close attention to what they do in the video you should be OK. NO instructions are included with the items when received.They seem like they are well made, and a good value, but I guess time will tell.I was able to program both remotes to work with both receivers. I have both A buttons toggling one receiver and both B buttons toggling the other receiver. This is exactly what I wanted.

It does what it has designed for. I installed it under the car hood close to the fuse box. My ac compressor line for some strange reason has been direct so it was always turned on when car is running. I use this relay to switch the fuse for ac compressor and now I can turn on the ac compressor remotely when needed and turn off from inside the car using the remote. The unit is working flawlessly and very easy to install . I only wish the plastic housing was screw system then it would have been perfect .

Update: 11 February 2020We have had some nasty cold weather here (-39C 60 km/hr winds = -60C wind chill) and the relay and remotes have been working flawlessly.Quite impressed with these relays and remotes. They seem to work quite well, have a decent range and can be configured for a wide variety of load voltages and have several modes of operation.If you want to use this relay in latching mode, you have to buy 2 relays to get the two button remotes (A - ON, B - OFF). The single button remotes only support momentary and toggle modes. The relay is rated at 7A max for up to 28VDC load or 12A max at 125VAC load. The relay does remember its programmed mode if it is disconnected from its 12VDC power source. The ones I ordered came with wiring and programming instructions that were easy to follow and understand. The remotes also came with 2 CR2016 batteries pre-installed in each. The relay output is isolated from the 12VDC required to operate the relay, so you can control just about anything up to 250VAC, as long as you do not exceed the relay current ratings. If working with non-resistive AC loads (such as incandescent bulbs, motors, heaters, etc.) you should probably de-rate by 10x to ensure you don't fry the relay with input surge currents when first turned on (i.e. keep your rated load below 150W at 125VAC). Remotes are sturdy, the buttons require a moderate press and have a tactile 'click' when activated.

Funciona perfectamente bien, lo instalé para un abrepuertas Chamberlain, me evitó comprar uno nuevo ya que se dañó la tarjeta lógica. Sin embargo el producto VIENE SIN INFORMACIÓN, nada de cómo se instala, ni cómo se programa, etc. Afortunadamente en Youtube hay varios videos de gente que te dice cómo hacerlo.

Seems that it's all as advertised, haven't tried yet. Not able to leave exposed to weather, due to totally open where the wires enter unit. Will try and weatherproof unit and install. Seems to be rather decent units, just not what I needed.

Lo conecte a una cerradura electrica de manera normalmente abierto y funciona perfecto, ahora puedo abrir y cerrar una puerta de manera inalámbrica... muy recomendable facil de instalar y configurar con los controles.
