Bought for fun .my kid& wife's 1st baby very informational and easy read.answered some hard to ask questions.I was very pleased.highly recommend.GOING TO PURCHASE the next book for new DADS in December

Good book, simple, accessible. Is UK-centric, referrring to UK NHS, UK social services, and UK employment laws (e.g. re paternity leave). Not super detailed, so maybe not great if you want something that's more a reference book.

I got this book as a gift for my boyfriend after finding out we are expecting. He was excited, but when he opened it, it had writing to another expecting father in it and the spine is loose. I paid for a new book, not used. Took about 5 days to deliver with prime. Nice content, but ruined the gift a bit.

Honest and informative. Highly recommended for first time dads, mums, it's a great gift to get dad clued up on the reality of having a pregnant wife and a new baby around.

Bought this book as I'm about to become a father (obviously), and... it's eye opening. The normalization of misogynistic comments, total lack of empathy toward the mother of his child it's frightening. Do not make a baby if you perceive it as a chore where your only goal will be to minimize your own participation. The book is full of me me me how is this affecting me and how can I put more of the burden on my partner. The only perk of pregnancy? Big breast but you may not even be able to touch them… Grow up you’re shaming us all men. Your partner will have a baby, do not be a crybaby yourself. One good thing about this book, since it’s a best seller, is that it might be studied later on as a case study. It will be a good depiction of what it is to be a pregnant woman in the XXIs century (!!!) and how sad some men can be jailed in their own toxicity. Do not buy except if you want to research misogyny.

Highly recommended first read for dads to be. To be completed with books focusing on more specific areas of parenthood. Altogether an excellent introduction to what future dads can expect and how to deal with becoming a parent for the first time. Great practical advice along with quotes from new dads who went through it before us and a few funny jokes make it an interesting as well as entertaining read.

Really helped me get some understanding of it all and heads up of what was to come throughout the pregnancy. Well written by a dad for dads to be. I took lots of notes in my kindle app and refreshed where needed. Definitely recommend and look forward to starting this authors follow up title.
