Doritos 3D Crunch, 2 Flavor Variety Pack, 0.625 oz Bags, (Pack of 36) (Assortment May Vary)

I bought these ahead of the superbowl so we could have some fun during the commercials. It worked out. the chips are good. Similar to Bugles but with much more flavor. They do have a bit of spicy kick, so be warned. The bags are also very small snack bags, good for portion control.

Both are too spicy for either of my kids to enjoy. I think they're a little spicy too. We were just hoping for the original nacho cheese and ranch flavors more so than a spicy one.

If you’re looking for classic Doritos textures and flavors, you’re not going to be into these, because these are a whole different animal. First off, the flavors are Chili cheese and spicy ranch, neither are in any way similar to the classic nacho cheese, nor ranch flavors that we’ve been accustomed with eating. Second, the textures vary from spongy like a packing peanut to bugle crispy but not crunchy at all. It’s like a hair crispier than a cracker. The size is way smaller than a typical Dorito. These guys aren’t even close to a puffed up regular sized tortilla chip. These are small. That being said, the flavor is spicy but inconsistent bag to bag. After having a taste test with the kid of the house we realized that it’s not what we expected but it’s still pretty good.You just need to know what you’re getting into and we weren’t super excited to find the complete lack of resemblance to the classic Dorito chip. Were we sad? No, because it’s a good tiny snack with a decent flavor profile but it’s also only 80 calories per bag and the bag upon opening looks like someone ate most of it already. It’s that empty so that’s super disappointing to people who like a filled bag of chips. Would we buy it again? A solid maybe if there is no other Dorito available in the world.

I was so excited to hear that Doritos was bringing the 3D chips back! But to my disappointment, these were not the same. They are more of a sealed bugle chip, with very intense flavor. Harder/ crunchier and larger than the originals.But non the less, they are delicious. If you aren't into strong flavors, these might not be for you. There is also a slight spiciness to them.One major issue I had was quality control. In almost every bag I had at least 2-3 chips that were not "puffed", making them extremely hard and unpleasant to bite (plastic like). 2-3 chips may not seem like a lot, but these bags are TINY (smaller than the small vending machine bags)!

I sent these to my daughter away at college and they took longer to reach her even though they shipped Prime. She was excited about trying them and remembered me telling her about the Doritos 3D ones that came in the little canister that fit in a cars cup holder. She reported both flavors tasted great and the texture had a nice crisp. However when she reached the half way point of the box the taste changed completely along with the texture. She had some of her friends try a bag, all who have had these already and they all reported they tasted stale. The bags were not expired and the window for return was closed. The rest of the box was trashed. Needless to say this purchase was disappointing and a waste of money.

I like these. They are tasty, a great deal, and I also like the portion size and how it's so easy to pack in your lunch.

Not the same as originals, much smaller & different texture. The box of 36 I got was very stale, I’m guessing was sitting out in hot sun for days because these are a new item that hot the market. They as had a plastic-esque texture. The Spicy Cool Ranch flavor is actually pretty spicey, not Hot Cheetos kind of heat but straight jalapeño.I like the original version better with the bigger 3D chips, who cares if it was a choking hazard. It was the perfect ratio of chip-air poof crunch.
