The Bicoastal Denim Trellis is a chic, made to order, Designer Throw Pillow. Handmade in the USA, this unique pillow is 18" x 18" square, with an intricate hand-printed, discharged dye design, on a laid-back, medium-washed denim. I hand-draw and laser-cut my own stencils, through which I hand print this textile. There is no ink or paint involved, rather the fabric dye fades in the stenciled area. This pillow is part of my Bicoastal Collection that was inspired by elements in both East and West Coast beach towns: My photographs and sketches of a curvy porch bracket on one of the quaint Oak Bluffs cottages on Martha's Vineyard, and the time-worn painted shingles on a beach cottage at historic Crystal Cove in Southern California.
