HALO 301P Recessed Ceiling Light Open Splay Trim, White, 6 in.

Made in china, so I’m not expecting it to be durable. It installed easy enough, and covered the hole I wanted to be covered. The housing I build it for originally was made in USA decades ago. This is the only one that fits it, and unfortunately it’s made in china. Oh well.

I used these to replace a bigger opening trim in recessed lights so it would fit my Hue BR30 bulbs correctly. They were super easy to swap out and look great. Can't beat the price either compared to other stores and other items.

My remodel architect installed 30 Hue BR30-based can lights in my house. I tried every trim ring I could find, around 10 in total, including much more intricate and expensive models, and these looked the best.

I try to support the local economy but these were $8.00 each at Home Depot without mounting springs vs $1.58, mounting springs included. Needed 8, so do the math. Nice fresh look as I had been painting the old ones for a while.

Cant really believe how the EXACT trim ring is $7-$8 each at retail stores! If i need more, i will definitely buy them here!Oh and yes, the springs do come with them.

Slightly better price than my local big-box store, with tax and free shipping. This is what typically gets installed in new construction. It is designed for 6" recessed "can" lights. It is made to fit the R30 size light bulbs which are the typical size installed in new construction. R30 bulbs are not as small as a regular incandescent bulb, but not as big as the R40 'oversized' bulbs that you can also fit in a 6" can light. If you want your bulb to be flush with the ceiling, rather than recessed, then this is a good choice and is economical. To get the bulb recessed, you'll end up spending twice as much and if you want the eye-ball type where you can adjust the direction of orientation of the bulb then you'll pay even more.

These were absolutely perfect for a refresh of my 20+ year-old recessed lighting in the kitchen. Someday we'll replace the lighting with something more modern, but for the time being this is exactly what I needed and the price was fantastic!

These recessed light, trim rings are great! Packaging is good and protects them from being scratched up in shipment. They come with the springs to install, as well. Exactly what I needed!
