Works great with one noisy flaw
I don't know if my particular leash was sewn purposely the way I received it, but I would have sewn it differently. It has two straps that you velcro around an object such as an H-Rail. The issue I have is with the hook and mesh sides of the velcro. Now the strap is easy to wrap around and secure, but it leaves an entire side of the hook velcro on the inside of the secured strap loop that is now wrapped around whatever you secured the strap to. So any movement of the secured strap and you now have an annoying scratching sound made by the hook side of the velcro. On an H-rail it's very loud and obvious. So if mine was sewn defective, then it's defective. However If that's the way they make them, they need to change the way they are sewn to avoid the hook side left to rub on whatever the strap it tied to.

No brainer
Mirage drives are not only expensive but production is behind, so if you loose one you're gonna be paddling the old fashioned way for a while and pulling out the wallet. This goes on in seconds and its perfect. Might swap the buckles out for stainless steel but so far so good.

You get what you pay for! Cheap is cheap!
Don’t use if kayaking in the ocean. The clip broke when my kayak was rolled by a wave when launching it at the beach. My 2020 Hobie Outback pedal drive was sitting on top of the kayak at the time and when the clip broke. My drive went out to sea!!!Very expensive lesson. The drive is close to $1,000.00. Spend a little more money and get a better leash.

Gotta Secure that $500 Mirage Drive
I purchased my Hobie used and the last owner didn't have a leash for his mirage drive. I didn't think much of it until a recent trip going fishing in the ocean and one big swell knocked me around silly. I didn't roll it, but the mirage drive slipped off the side and luckily I was able to grab it before it went straight to the bottom. I checked the prices on replacing one of those and it was well over $500. So yea, I'm leashing that and my seat from now on.

Nice product
Used this to leash the pedals to the rail on my 2022 Outback. Replaces an old style leash. This one takes up less room and looks great.
