Easy to cut - even upside down!
I bought this to punch 3" stickers I'd printed on sticker paper, so it was double layered. I needed to make sure it cut perfectly around the print which was circled, so I needed to flip it upside down to be able to get a perfect cut. It worked great! Super sharp cutting made it easy to perfectly place and cut with one hand while the other held my sticker paper steady. It's lightweight, but very well made. I think I'll be using this for many years to come! It has a bottom cover which is easy to remove so you can get a good visual of everything you cut.

Didn't take long to dull
The punch is enclosed, so paper doesn't fall out of the bottom. You have to pull it out of the same area that you inserted the paper into. Also, thinner paper will tear rather than cut, because of the blade action. To sharpen, then, you have to insert foil into the punch, let it get crushed, and then try to swipe it out with a piece of cardstock or something, over and over. It's a nice idea, but bad engineering. There is no way to get the punch apart (if a piece of whatever goes up into the punch housing, that's where it stays. I use mine a lot, but it punched maybe 100 punches before it started to not punch an edge. Then you have to trim the tear by hand. Also, hard pushing is needed (you can't hold the punch in the air and get the best angle, you pretty much HAVE to have it flat on the table if doing more than one or if you want your paper to be punched in a certain spot). Speaking of certain-spot punching, there is no way to view where your paper will be punched. Using trial and error, I marked my punch where the paper should line up to get the most punches from my paper, because without it, you'll end up wasting about 20% of your punches. I can now get about 20 punches from a 12x12 sheet; before I was lucky to get 12.

A Solid, Sturdy Punch
I bought this punch to make hang tags for things that I knit either as presents for friends and family or for sale. I use a hole punch to punch a hole in one of the points of the star, and some crochet thread to attach it. I put the thread through the hole and use a crochet hook to pull the ends through the knitted fabric, and then knot it to make a lark's head knot out of the thread. No matter who I make something for, it needs something to tell the recipient what fibers were used and how to wash the item and care for it.When you read about the size, it seems huge. The shape, however leaves a lot less space for writing. This size doesn't leat HUGE amounts of space, but enough to say what fibers are in the item and how to care for it.And it's my favorite shape: a star! It makes nice, quality hang tags out of card stock.

Great Heart Craft Punch
Great large heart craft punch. The size of hearts punched is approximately 2.5" wide. There is a plastic sliding bottom base to catch the punches if you want to punch a few and not have them flying all over the place. I used this to work on several large craft projects; punching over 500 hearts and worked the same on heart 1 as heart 500. The punch will punch a couple thin pages at once or you can use it to punch one thicker page at a time like cardstock. Overall, great craft punch to add to my collection!

Great shape/size but doesn't last long
This size of punch in this design is virtually impossible to find in store (I've been searching for months) and each time I've needed it, I've had to order it from here. The size and shape is fantastic for the paper flowers we make but like mamafish said, it doesn't last. Granted mine lasted longer than theirs did (at least a year as I don't use it too frequently) but for something that costs $20+ it shouldn't break as quickly as it does. Even now it still "works" if you're strong enough to force it through the paper (I've resorted to scrapbook paper, no way would it punch card stock at this point) and the edges are frayed and not very nice looking. For how disposable these seem to be, I wish they were at least half the cost especially since I have had no luck finding this in any craft store. That being said, while it lasts, it's a fantastic punch.

Single-Use Only
I was able to use this shape puncher one time without any issues. The second time I used the punch, I had to use scissors to clean up the edges of each heart because they had not been cut all the way around. By the third use, the paper completely snagged and wound up tearing altogether because the die cut was no longer sharp enough to even bend the paper all the way around the heart. I was able to cut approximately 50 hearts using regular paper (not card stock). Very disappointing!

Sort of useless...
This product was sort of useless to me, considering how hard it was to use and how long it took to actually punch out the flakes. You can only punch one a a time because the punch is sort of weak, and the excess paper gets caught in the detail of the flakes and you spend more time taking the excess paper out of the punch than you do making snowflakes. If you have to make a lot of snowflakes, this is not the solution for you. If you are just making a few for a scrap book, this would work fine. Luckily I was able to use a different heavy duty cutter to finish my snowflake project, but by that time I had already purchased this punch and expedited the shipping and was basically out $40.00. Be certain you know what you are getting when you buy this, and you will be fine.

Does not work. Poor quality.
This punch is not at all functional. I purchased this as a birthday gift. The return period expired prior to my giving it so I'm stuck with a totally worthless product! Dont risk purchasing. Poor quality.
