Wrights Copper Cream Cleaner 8 oz

Many years ago i 'inherited' a box of brass and copper items. I have put inherited in inverted commas because after much deliberation on who didn't want them, i lost and reluctantly took them home. Don't get me wrong I love the look of newly polished copper but the tedious and arduous task of getting them that way was a day out of my life I couldn't claim back. Over the years, one by one, the copper and brass items has been packed away in a box and left in my attic. I recently moved house and the feeling I had when I opened up the box of dull, dark and lifeless copper and brass made my heart sink. Decision time, do I keep or do I throw? I decided to give them one last chance and so purchased Wright's copper cream after reading the reviews on the product. I am not normally one to write reviews but for this product, I really must. I began with a small copper plate and WOW, I couldn't believe how easy and quick it was to use. One by one I went through the box and polished every single item in there in no time at all. They are now fabulously dotted around my new home in all their glory and looking, 'just how Grandma used to keep them!' I'm actually feeling quite smug for the first time, that I pulled the short straw all those years ago and I can't wait for my family members to come around and feel that pang of jealousy.

Cleans copper and brass without effort. Wear gloves and use old papers to stand items on. Will stain steel sinks and draining boards. K.R

If you buy this make sure it’s not for jewelry, it gives it a nice finish but fades away quickly.

So back in the day (meaning a year or so ago) I moved into this house with copper sinks and everyone was all 'oh they're so gorgeous, I'm so jealous' until I regailed them with how I have to basically dry them after every use and they were still a pain in the arm to clean. Like literally, if I let them go too long the scrubbing hurt my arm. I had a few recommendations from people, all of which weren't the best, and had resigned myself to hating my sinks forever. That is, until I found this bad boy. In previous cleaning products I had to let it sit or scrub ridiculously hard to get rid of any water spots or coppery issues and what not taking far too long. Not so with this puppy! I was seriously amazed with how fast it worked and am not looking forward to having to tell my mother she was right and that copper sinks may not be as troublesome as I made them out to be. Don't get me wrong, I still feel I need to dry them out each time but now I don't dread cleaning them. Also, this has very little smell. As in, I don't feel like I'm killing off brain cells using it, I'm looking at you BKF foaming solution. I'm also not concerned about this one messing up the coloring on the drains like another product had. My only concern with it is how the jar seemed a bit deceiving. I opened mine up to get started and it was only half filled. I'm not saying I'm gonna breeze through it but with the size of the container I was expecting a bit more and since Amazon is the only place I can find this stuff, my paranoid brain is worried it will be switched off prime once I'm hooked. So, if you have many copper sinks, you may want to consider buying a second one as well. That way you don't have to wait for a package every month or so. But I could be wrong and just have horrible sink habits. Not gonna lie, I'm still not fully used to these fancy basins yet.

Wrights Copper Cream is a product that everyone who cooks with copper pans or uses copper utensils should have to hand. It is easy to use, and the perfect product to immediately reach for after you have carefully hand washed your copper cookware. It is not a harsh petroleum-based product - therefore no worries about it coming into contact with the food-facing surfaces of your pans/utensils as it rinses very easily with hot water. Apply using the soft sponge applicator included in the container and gently rub across the entire copper surface, then rinse thoroughly. Towel dry the copper cookware immediately after letting the water drain away - do not let the item sit to air dry. The end result is a beautiful verdigris-free copper surface. Follow this procedure after every use of your pans/utensils to keep your copper ware looking beautiful. A very useful cleaning product that comes highly recommended!
