Inter-Be' is the debut album by PeterWolf Crier, the Minneapolis based duo of Peter Pisano and Brian Moen. The album was born on a single summer night when Pisano felt a torrent of creativity; a confident collection of songs followed! Pisano approached Moen, a seasoned drummer and engineer best known for his involvement in Laarks and Amateur Love. After being asked to add some percussive elements, Moen added his thundering drum rolls and perfectly timed fills, but he also added something much more: A melodic soundscape that would complete the evolution of the songs. So was born the partnership that is called PeterWolf Crier.

Wow, What A Pleasent Surprise
Inter-Be is REALLY good. Unique sound, intelligent, poetic lyrics, great tempo changes. This is one of those discs that I know I'll play periodically for years, maybe decades. Their follow-up effort was not nearly as solid. I only checked these guys out because they were playing a small venue near us and I'd never heard any of their stuff. I listened to some tracks from this CD, immediately bought it and tickets for the show. Unfortunately the recent (Mar '15) show was pretty disappointing. The drummer was fantastic, but the guitarist/vocalist, who writes all the songs, just seemed like he wanted to be somewhere/anywhere else other than on stage in front of a small crowd on a Thursday night. Still, this review is about the CD not one performance - and the CD is great. Hope these guys can pull enough in to keep going, they have something to offer.

Great music from the apocalypse
The final scene of "Grotesque" in the "Fear the Walking Dead" series closes out with a song called "Hard as Nails" by Peter Wolf Cryer. I was so captivated by the song I immediately downloaded the entire album on iTunes . I am pleased to say that at least 75% of the CD is as good as this favorite track, unusual these days. I want to give a quick shout out to Siri for instantly correctly identifying this song and linking me to iTunes In one sweep !

A GREAT AND DIFFERENT SOUND!
I discovered some of the songs on this CD during a Delta flight to Asia. Tired of the same-old, same-old, of the music we hear on radio and TV, I'm always looking for something different, music that has a different beat, different harmonies, and, above all, pleasant to my ears! And Peter Wolf Crier just did it for me! Some of the songs are FANTASTIC, especially Untitled 101, a nice respectful "chat with God" from a Humane point of view, and Crutch and Cane, a smooth balad with simple but compeling arrangement. Hard as Nails and Down, Down, Down are also quite good. I'm just quite pleased with their music, VERY MUCH worth the dough spent. Just keep making more music, guys ...

Love this
My only fear is that this is a career record for them. Not sure that they can ever duplicate or exceed the simplistic soul and beauty on this album. An absolute must own.
