On My Way To A Happy Life Hardcover – November 1, 2010

Not only does my toddler enjoy this book (mainly for the detailed, interesting, beautiful- slightly outlandish- illustrations), but I find that at this point, I am learning more from reciting the words than he is. I am sure that is as important as anything- parents and family members must live and model the things they want their little ones to learn, so I guess I am just as much "on my way" as he is in this regard! The writing is simple and easy to skip around and pick a simple (but poignant) 1-liner from each page in order to hold a toddler's interest from cover to cover.

I rented this book from the library, and now I'm purchasing it. The illustrations are phenomenal to pique the interest of little ones, and the rhymes are lovely. Most importantly the message is simple, clear and powerful. When my daughter picks other stories to read before bed, I have to read this one to myself. :) In addition, I purchased the audio of the Seven Spiritual Laws of Parenting. The best way for me to really transmit the seven spiritual laws is for me to imbibe and radiate the ideas myself.

I ordered this book for our daughter a month or so ago. I must say, I think it's even better than I had expected. It has really colorful pictures and each point the author makes about how to live a happy life is simple and very true. While the points aren't necessarily deep, they are truthful and something all of us, adults included, should focus on for living a happy life. While I think it will be a great book for our kids for many years, I'm planning on giving it as gift for high school graduation and will probably think of several other reasons to give the book. It just sends a really great message about what's important and what to focus your energy on. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to teach their kids about what's important in life or for anyone who needs a reminder...

My four year old loves this book. The wording is terse and to the point but the pictures are very vibrant and abstract. She wants me to read this over and over many times and wants to talk about the pictures. The pictures are a good stimulant for her when I ask her what she makes of them. It is a great tool to teach her the foundation for a happy life and that happiness lies in her decisions and in the way she looks at things and not in what others think or do.

I love reading over and over again this wonderful & colorful little book for children. It teaches many beautiful lessons (values) about LIFE and HAPPINESS. I wish I had this book in French when I was still teaching Kindergarten. I would have spent 7 days teaching 7 great lessons to make us all ON OUR WAY TO A HAPPY LIFE. This colorful book would be a delight to read at any age. The sage advice is surrounded with fun and fanciful pictures with all kinds of animals and people playing musical instruments and wearing festive garments, dancing, playing and working together; there's even a ship floating through the cosmos hanging from the planet earth while telling us we should believe that anything is possible. Kid's brains love rhymes, and this book rhymes its wisdom of the ages through two-to four liners on every page.

It took a while for the book to get to me, but the service from Paper Cavalier was excellent! Particularly Facundo, with whom I spoke the entire time, was very attentive and did everything in his power for me to get the book. In the end, I got the book and I have a very happy child reading it non-stop! :)Thank you Facundo for your excellent service!
