Ye Olde Oak Ham (300g) - Pack of 2

The media could not be loaded. This is the tastiest gammon ham in a tin I have ever had.I bought it 4 times so far.Even with bread, butter and mayonnaise I know I can have a lovely sandwich as you do not get any unsavoury unpleasant fat pieces in your mouth.I use it in many recipes too, you get quite a lot of ham in the tin and even for one recipe it is too much, so I keep the remaining ham in the tin for sandwiches.However it is expensive but you pay for the quality.

Unfortunately because of illness, I am bedridden, but my carers make me a good sandwich at lunchtime using this ham. Very tasty. Bought Again.

Not as described weightThis product is not as described and definitely NOT value for money it is advertised as 340g per tin but is only 325g per tin, they are very small and not worth the £14+ I have paid for them, I would not recommend these, very very very disappointed

The tin has a ring pull but I found it impossible to open, even with the use of leverage. The metal lid is thicker than on the usual ring-type opener and I had to ask a nearby male person to open it for me, but even he could not manage to pull it open more than three-quarters of the way. In the end I had to use a tin opener on it to get the lid off. I also had to remove the bottom of the tin to push the meat out of the container. Obviously, elderly people with arthritis would not be able to pull this ring pull open.The meat itself is okay as a standby to put in a sandwich, but it is loose textured, verging on a pâté-like consistency. With the addition of some salad cress to give it interest, I found the taste acceptable enough to enjoy in my sandwich.
