Wearable Japanese Armor Suit Rüstung Samurai Toyotomi Clan Golden Dragon O037
A**T
Nice for display purposes but I think they could have done a better job
The quality of materials is OK. The workmanship is good in some aspects but poor in others. As you can see in the picture, the embroidery patterning is not matched or centered. Very noticeable on the Fukigaeshi, Mabizashi and Do. Matching and centering the pattern properly wouldn't waste much material to make it look right. The Kamon printed on the Do is not straight. It is tipped slightly to the right. It claims to be the armor of the Toyotomi Clan but this Kamon belongs to the Tokugawa clan. The Menpo and Hana are both one piece. The Hana is not detachable. The teeth on the Menpo were just painted the same gold color as the Menpo so I had to paint them white as they normally should be. I didn't like the fuzzy strip they used on the Hana so I bought a white mustache and replaced it to make it look more authentic. This armor did not come with Hiza Yoroi. The Maedate is unknown and I don't know who or what clan it belongs to. Finally, the gold color on the hard parts of the armor is just gold paint which makes it look rather cheap. A simple sponging of yellow shellac would have made the finish look more authentic. I wouldn't try to wear this armor. It looks like a hodgepodge of different armor styles. It also does not come with a Yoroi Bitsu. It does look nice on display but not worth the money I paid for it. As I said, I think they could have done a better job.
