You can pay more
Mid-price range lock set. Considerably heavier, and more solid, than the average priced stamped metal entry sets, sold in department stores. Easy to install, if your door is pre-drilled. It does require putting one new hole in the door if you have not previously had a long handled lever lock set in it before. I ordered black, so I expect the finish will hold up well. Looks good so far.

Handsome
This handle and lock set is sturdy and heavy. The look is handsome and strong yet fits our cottage style home front door perfectly. Love the black color which you can’t find in the store but yet on Amazon and it’s Great!

Wonderful and solid locking system for our front door.
Beautiful set on my door and matched the footprint of the original one! - please tape the box closed for the future customers. It was a bit unnerving to receive the box that could easily have been opened and parts removed..

Poor Quality Control
I went with SCHLAGE's reputation for security and safety. I was surprised to find that quality control didn't pick up this defect. The Matte Black finish and Camelot style fit my style so I returned it and ordered another of the same. My expectations remain high.

Hack for Bowery Style Interior Knob on this Front Door Handle Set!
One of the few matte black entry handles available. Very well built. Was disappointed that they didn’t offer it (or any other front entry handle sets) with the “Bowery” knob for the inside of the door. We have those on all our interior doors and on the back entry doors in our home. I took a chance and ordered an extra closet (no lock) knob set to see if I could swap the knob that came with the front handle set out for the Bowery style knob. What do you know... it actually worked! If you look closely at the “neck” of the knob, there is a slot cut out and you can see a gold colored tab. Push that tab in and the knob “shell” pops off of the turning mechanism. Do the same on the front door knob and boom! It matches the rest of our house now.
