Does it work on smaller screws like No. 8 & 10 since it specifically says 3/8 to 1 in?

Used on my new pub chairs 1/4" bolts. I would think it would.

I want to know after the red permatex dries is the color still red or does it turn clear like red loctite?

Hi, I'm assuming you are talking about the Permatex (Color Red) RTV high temperature. If that's what you are regarding to it will harden as the color red as you see it. Good luck

I recently had to repair a stripped spark plug thread which involved tapping a new thread and fitting a metal insert . The metal insert was coated with Permatex27200 and fitted into the cylinder head, I left the job for 24 hours to allow a full cure , started the engine up and road tested the motor cycle , all good and i was very impressed.
