I bought the capri-glass top humidor and i am new to humidors, how do i properly season my humidor and what do i need to do to prime the humidifier?

Seasoned the humidor, installed 2 Drymistat's and original humidifier inside. Starts at 70% continues dropping after it's opened. No cigars inside.

How do you properly fill the humidifier with distilled water?

is it a absolute must to use distilled water for the humidifier ?
