From the Manufacturer Introducing the Metroid Prime Gunship by First 4 Figures. We are proud to be continuing our Metroid Gunship Series with the Gunship featured in Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime Hunters. Samus Aran’s Gunship in Metroid Prime is capable of inter-galactic flight, has antigravity landing pods and is battle ready. If battle becomes unavoidable, the ship is outfitted with enough firepower to survive firefights against bigger and more numerous foes as it is equipped with twin Power Beam turrets and a retractable rear-mounted Plasma Beam cannon. The Metroid Prime Gunship has been accurately recreated from the original game files. This allows for unprecedented levels of realism and accuracy. Internal LEDs are placed in a way that creates a stunning light effect. The windscreen, gun batteries, hull and read engines all light up. On the actual gunship, the windscreen and the four engines at the back all light up. The lights fade out slowly when you turn off the lights. The point where the ship connects to the base has a swivel joint which lets you tilt and angle the ship to any angle that you want. Comes in deluxe full color packaging, hand numbered base, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.

Very Solid Metroid Prime Ship
This model was created using the 3D files used in the Metroid Prime game and it looks great. I was glad to see the model double boxed with good packaging. No damage that I could notice. The thing feels very solid (its weights about 10 pounds!) but there are some thin spokes that stick out which could have been damaged if not packed up well. Obviously, not for young children, these spokes could put your eye out kid :) Overall the detail in the model is very good considering it was designed based on a game model that was probably not the complex to begin with. The led light lights up not only the front, the bottom thrusters, and the rear ones as well. The light is a great touch.Well certainly, this is not much of a "toy" for kids to play with. Its more of just a figure meant to be placed on a mantle or bookshelf. For that, it looks great. The base is also very sturdy keeping the ship on display very well. The paint job as well feels very well done. The paint is high gloss and looks almost two tone. I am not into collecting such things but as a huge fan of Metroid series (Prime in particular) I felt I needed one think that screamed "huge game geek" and this pretty much does it.

What can I say about this amazing ship? I love it! The paint job is amazing, the ship is amazing. It looks better in person that the ship in the game LOL. It's pretty heavy for its size and I love that. What is also pretty cool is that the ship is on a ball joint and you can change the angle of the ship. The base is nice and big and heavy enough so it won't fall over (unlike my Terminator statue). I did not put the batteries in because I'm afraid I'll forget about them and then they will eventually leak out and destroy this beautiful ship. I can not find one flaw on my ship. Here is my only issue. It's not with the ship, but more on the construction of the piece. The way the ship affixes to the base kinda bothers me. The base plugs into the bottom of the ship which is fine but it feels a bit... loose to me. It's not. the ship stays up there fine, but I'm hesitant to change the angle of the ship because I'm paranoid that it may fall out. Yes, it's mostly my paranoia, but it is a bit loose IMO.

The base is very heavy and you won't need to worry about it getting easily knocked over
First 4 Figures makes absolutely stunning statues and you pay for the quality. The base is very heavy and you won't need to worry about it getting easily knocked over. The model itself I can't even put into words, it's so gorgeous. My favorite new piece from my favorite game. I perched my Samus amiibo nearby and it's a nice little display.I will say I was expecting a little more shiny-ness on the body of the ship but it's probably because of the lighting I have it under. One thing the details don't tell you is when you turn it off it has this 10 second "power down" dimming process.... the lights don't shut off instantly. I like it, makes me think of the ship going into sleep mode.

neat ship, not worth this much
Make no mistake, this gunship is a neat tribute to the Metroid Prime games. While Metroid games have never really been about the space combat, the ship is still a central hub for Samus to save the game and refuel.First4Figures did a good job recreating this ship. It's got a good level of detail and the lighting effects look great. It's a fairly large and substantive ship (warning: it's heavy and might be too heavy for some bookshelves). That said, I don't feel this ship is worth the price currently being listed here. I'd have much rather if we'd gotten a cheaper version even if it meant less heavy materials and less detailing. Something like Diamond Select's current offerings for Star Trek ships. Right now this gunship is probably only for diehard fans.

Fantastic, Beautiful, and Impressive
I've been wanting this statue ever since it was first announced years ago and I was finally able to purchase one! That being said, it really is an excellent statue. The pictures don't do it nearly enough justice as the paint job is beautifully executed and colorful; almost iridescent. The light details are a fantastic touch and just give it a little extra punch to an already lovely looking piece. One thing that really impresses me, though, are the ergonomics of the stand. The ship locks securely into place and you can tilt the ship forward, backwards, left, or right. I was surprised by how far it actually tilts! It's very impressive how much freedom of movement the statue has been given. I wish my Normandy statue from Mass Effect had this movement...All in all, an excellent piece for perhaps a little higher a price than what is reasonable for most. I was going to dock a star for the price but the rarity of this statue justifies it. There aren't many of these left so if you're wanting one, get it now before they end up being $700 a piece!

Only for serious collectors or Metroid Prime fans
It’s looks really great and saved about 25 bucks more then if I were to purchased it from the original website that distributes these. Only 750 were made and each comes with their own card that determines what number model they are. The original box that it comes with also has it protected with Styrofoam that is specifically molded for the ship and stand; and the Styrofoam measures at about 12 x 14 x 16 inches (so it’s pretty protected). Over all, it’s great to have as a collection piece if you really love the Metroid Prime series.

BEAUTIFUL display model with LIGHT UP details!
This is a lovely depiction down to scale of the Metroid Gunship starting in Super Metroid for the Super NES. It also lights up at night or in the dark! Looks amazing and a great conversation piece :)
