I used optimum for the first month, swapped to classic for the next 3 months. And have now used optimum for this month. My cat is very shy, does not like strangers, or other cats. Is a bit of a loner.1st month my cat was very nervous, but it was a new home for him and he was only a kitten. I found he did not like being picked up, cuddled or stroked. Would run and hide from any noise or stranger. If I went to hold or stroke him he would run away. Over the next 3 months he settled down and would come for a very short cuddle at night as long as I only stroked him a little. He would follow me around everywhere and towards the end of the 3 classic bottles, He would accept me stroking him. I wasn't sure if the feliway was working or whether he was just used to his surroundings. I thought zs I was going on holiday soon, and family members would be looking after him I would try optimum again. From the 1st 24hrs I could see a difference in his attitude. He was calmer and more friendly. He allowed me to stroke him when he was near me and stayed in the room when my family visited. While I was away he has gone up to my family and asked for strokes. So I can say feliway works. My cat is calmer, more friendly and sociable. He has just turned a year old and I will continue to use optimum until he no longer needs it.

We rely on this for our three cats who tolerate each other. Seems daft that this refill is more expensive than the new pack (both sets are for 30 days) so check the prices before you buy!

I wouldn't be without this, it is so good for your cat. From bonfire night to everyday stresses that cause unwanted furniture scratches to hiding away, this is brilliant. If you want your cat to feel better, and you don't have the things you don't like, help them out with this. I do look around for the best price when I need a refill, but it saves in furniture, carpets, and upset puss cats

We've used Feliway Plugins in the past, but this time we decided to try the Feliway Optimum, which was recommended as more effective.Initially, there was little or no effect, until we changed out the bottles that came with the plugs with the new refills.Following that, serenity seems to have finally descended on our household, the best we can expect, between our elderly (12-year-old) Black Female Cat, Peggi, our much younger (7-year-old) Black Male Cat, Terri and the new arrival, a 7-year-old Female Ginger Calacoe Female Cat, Gremlin (and yes, when she was a kitten she looked just like the Mogwai from the Gremlins Film Franchise, but I digress.We weren't holding up much hope but we would recommend that you bear with this product, until such time that the initial bottles run out, so you can replace them with suitable refills.I've seen a number of reviews that say that Feliway Optimum is a bit "hit or miss" or "didn't work at all" but once you utilise the separate refills, we assure you, the difference in your little furbabies is quite noticeable.We personally recommend this product for use over 2-3 months, at which point this product pays for itself, not just financially but also the relief to your sanity.

The first Feliway I bought was the Optimum stater kit, it ran out very quickly and the plug was very hot whilst using so I always made sure it was turned off when I left the house.Initially bought as my two cats weren’t getting along but saw no difference in their behaviour.I didn’t notice any odour from the product so perhaps it wasn’t working.My elder cat had passed away a few months later and my other cat was distressed and was super sensitive to various noises inside and outside the house. So I thought I would give Feliway another go and bought a refill.Yet again the plug is very hot despite being directly into a socket and not off an extension cable.On the plus side my cat is definitely more relaxed which I am pleased about.Still cannot notice an odour - which is a positive.It only lasts 3 weeks so not great value for money.However, because it works I will still use Feliway - just wish it was cheaper.
