Good variety of spray options. Turned a useless shower head into a great one

We've been through many different brands of hand shower and they all fell apart within a year. This unit (paired with a stainless steel hose) is much higher quality. The sprays are good and the back-forth motion of the massage spray is amusing and quite nice.The buttons are a bit baffling at first but the key is pressing down halfway adds that spray to the existing sprays, while pressing down quickly and firmly disables the other sprays and makes that one exclusive. Also I wondered if this unit would fit in a standard holder or if it needed a square holder and it does indeed fit a standard holder.Be aware that the threads are slightly shorter so if your hose has trouble fitting as mine did, just double up the rubber washers and it will work fine.

I have been using Grohe for years, mostly the ones made in Germany.This one is a bit light, it's not metal but nonetheless practical. There are only 4 distinct shower modes but combinations adds variety. The Bokoma spray has a unique feel, almost ticklish.It's quite easy to change the settings. The square handle may not be for everyone but it can minimize slipping off when held.I would recommend using Grohe shower hose, I have a 10'.This hand shower is are easy to clean and has no evident calcium build-up for more than 6 months now.Highly recommended.

This showerhead broke after one week of use. One of buttons popped out, and water is now leaking from under the buttons, and around the face of the head. All attempts to contact Grohe are in vain - no response to warranty request, nobody picks up the phone.While it worked, the showerhead was great, but the fact that it stopped working after one week is unbelievable. After failing to get any response from Grohe, I bought another one of these, this time a 160mm version. To my dismay, this second one also broke, this time in less than a week, in exactly the same manner as the other one.This to me doesn't look like a manufacturing defect with a particular unit. It looks like a design flaw.
