Learning Resources Counting Elephants, Counting and Sorting, Games for Kids, Set of 10, Ages 2+

I'm an early intervention teacher and use these in my classroom with two and a half year olds. They get a lot of use (the kids love them so much we do a lot of work on sharing!) And have held up really well. I love that they are so versatile - you can work on colors, number recognition, counting, sizes, and even do pretend play with the figures. As others have said, they do not "snap" together, but hook together instead. My kids have no problem hooking them together and when hooked they can be pulled across a tabletop like a train. This is a popular toy during my zoo unit.

Our 18 month old grand daughter, Paisley, loves elephants. She carries her snuggle "ellies" around with her to cuddle and sleeps with them at night. I was excited to find this educational, development toy for her so she can learn while she has fun. She will get it this Christmas and we cannot wait to see her excitement and her her scream "ELLIES" when she unwraps the paper. The quality seems good and I love that they can go back into their bucket house at pick up time. They give many opportunities to learn counting, colors, size compaisons, social skills and play acting. Love this product!

I bought this for my niece and nephew who were 18 months last christmas. They have loved them from the moment they opened them. They count them, name colors, link them together, put them in and out of container and carry them. Almost a year later and they are still having fun with them. The handled container is a bonus as they have really enjoyed carrying it. I love that it is a simple and engaging learning toy that can keep their attention. Would highly recommend!

I used this toy for my grandson's birthday. He is now 2 and loves elephants. He also loves to put things into container and take them out again, so this was a natural choice. A bonus was that the lid screws on and off very easily so he was able to figure it out quickly. The elephants were also the perfect size-not too big or too small. They are numbered so his 4 year old sister uses them for counting and hooks them together to make an elephant number line. I was delighted with my purchase!

Was looking for a toy that has room to grow. For my 1 year old at this point, he loves to put the elephants in and out of the little bucket that it comes in. As he grows, I expect him to use these to learn colors, sizes and numbers so it's a great toy that will last a few years. I like the quality as well.

We're learning numbers here, and I got these for her to play with at her grandparents'. The elephants are cute, reminds me of "Dumbo" for some reason. However, they don't "snap" together...you just hook them together, nose to tail. And the numbers don't coincide with the color of the elephant either (I guess the point is to make sure the number is recognized, and not to just rely on the color matching?). You can't really hook them together and slide them around in a line either, since the end of the "chain" will topple over, but I guess that's not really the aim of this toy. Mine likes to sort them by size, and match by color, and is recognizing the numbers (6 and 9 still confuse her, but at least there's a line on those to indicate the bottom of the number). If they actually snapped and could balance better, I'd give it 5 stars. They are however, easy to clean, and I like that they all fit inside the container they come in.

I bought this toy for my 1 1/2 year old toddler last year for Christmas! She loves it! Great size for little hands, nice bright colors and very durable. Now that she's two, she can join the elephants together and she knows how to count from 1 to 10. Even my four year old loves to play with this. Definitely a great buy!

Muy bonito

Meine Jungs lieben es mit den Elefanten zu spielen und diese aneinander zu hängen. Wir fangen gerade erst an mit Zahlen und haben auch noch nicht alle Farben parat, aber die Jungs greifen selbständig immer wieder zu den Elefanten und beschäftigen sich auch alleine damit.

Arrived on time. Easy to open/close packaging for my toddler. Pieces are large enough for toddler and infant to easily handle and play with. Counting, colours, and hooking feature make them interesting for the ages of kids in our household. Glad I ordered.
