Melipone Mexican Vanilla - 8 Oz. Bottle

Got the recipe from a New Orleans native on his famous bananas foster. He insisted I only use this brand of vanilla. I made the recipe with McCormrick and this, and I can definitely taste the difference! Yummy!

It doesn't taste quite right to me. Perhaps it's the unnamed additional "flavouring" listed on the ingredients list of the bottle. It wasn't clear from the advertising that this is only part vanilla and part artificial.

At first I thought I wouldn't like this vanilla because a whiff of the product in the bottle wasn't exactlywhat I expected. After using it for baking though, It's wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone.You don't need much to get a wonderful scent to sugar cookies and believe it or not, vanilla extracton strawberries sweetens them up enough so you don't need to add sugar.

Yummm...I put this in my hot, brewed tea. It is soooo good. Just beware..it does have a high alcohol content. I would buy it again.

This is the real thing and adds so much flavor! Pay the price; it's worth it!

I originally tasted this vanilla in desserts in New Orleans and brought back one bottle which was quickly used up! I put it in my oatmeal! The scent of this vanilla alone is worth the price, and the taste makes it the best vanilla every! Don't hesitate to try this great product!

I was disappointed to find out this "Mexican" vanilla is from New Orleans. It is not like the vanilla I've had from Mexico.

This is an outstanding vanilla that we have used for quite a few years now. We discovered it when a friend brought a bottle back from New Orleans as a gift when she visited there. It is the only vanilla for making outstanding pralines--which get raves when my wife makes them for the holidays each year.
