Good fir what it is compared to cost
I read a number of reviews on entry level metal detectors and chose this one based on cost. It is inexpensively made, but performs well and looks to be just as hardy as models twice the cost. I had it out on a shoreline and it was accurate for what it claims. Took a bit to get a feel for the different sounds, but was never a false signal and was mostly spot on. There was a difference in modes, but aluminum shows up across the board and you will find a lot of it. Still fun and will now be much easier to find my wife’s keys if they again get dropped in the yard. I did try to use it to find a buried Cat 5 cable in my yard and this was a bit hit and miss at about 6 on down. Much better at finding can pull tabs.

Good entry level detector
Very easy to assemble, slightly tricky to use. Purchased to find survey stakes on my new property. Because we needed to detect iron there were a lot of false positives - the depth scale is a bit of a trick to understand (I still don't). After a little trial and error found most of the markers.

So far so good!
The product itself feels like it was very well made and overall of high quality. The packaging was superb, the assembly was straightforward, and the instructions are easy to understand. The fact they included a mini shovel and a carrying bag for everything was pretty awesome too! This is my first time owning one of these so it took a while to get past the learning curve. I've purchased AVID products before and was extremely satisfied with their stuff. I can say without a doubt, I will continue to buy their products.

functional and painless on the pocketbook
E-Z, P-Z. Was looking for a metal stake, knee approximately where it was, found it in a few seconds. haven't tries digging up all of the other metal hits it found in the yard, but beeps, and hones in well when using its features

Easy to use.
Very easy to work and light weight. Love how easy the screen is to read and how it tells you the types of metal it picks up.
