Recommended Book for Hindi Loverइसमें 21 कहानियां है। लिस्ट फोटो में है। मेने कादर खान जी से एक इंटरव्यू में मंटो की तारीफ़ सुनी थी तब इसे आर्डर की थी और मैं जनता हूँ की मंटो सच में तारीफ़ के काबिल है। प्रेमचंद जी की तरह ही साधारण जीवन उसकी कलम में भी दिखाई देता है। साथ ही कटाक्ष करने का साहस गजब का है। मुझे पूरा यकीं है की अपने समय में सरकार और उनके सेवक, मंटो को कतई पसंद नहीं करते होंगे। बहुत सुन्दर, साधारण। शायद जो देखा वैसे ही लिखा इसलिए असलियत के बहुत नजदीक लगता है।

The problem with the book is that after page 128 ( end of chapter 18 ) there are random chapters of vastushaastra. Till chapter 18, the print is fine and each chapters has some typos. But overall, it would have been a 3 star but those chapters of vastushaastra, just made this book a one star.

I ordered the book with much expectations, however only to realise that it is a literal translation of his work, with many spelling and grammatical errors. It appears to be poorly edited. You only purchase it if you are not getting any other option to read Manto. Serious readers (studying or working in the filed of literature) should be suggested to keep away from this book.

After I watching the movie, "Manto", I decided to read works of the Sadat Hassan Manto Ji. I've read 3 stories and I will totally recommend you to read this book if you are interested in reading the stories from the time of independence. The build of this book is also strong and delivery was on time.
