Bayan Audio Soundbook Wireless Portable Bluetooth Speaker (Black/Orange)

Has a clever design, and a good layout of displays and buttons. While it feels like it has some heft, it has a sound actually inferior to that of an iPhone 6. The sound is noticeably inferior to other Bluetooth speakers costing half as much. also, the charging interface is a mini-usb, which is hardly used anymore (most phones and other devices now use micro-usb, soon to be replaced itself). It is annoying to still have to keep a mini-usb cable around just for this one device.Item would be OK at $80, but at the $199 I paid, I feel ripped off.

I just got one of these as a gift, and it's fantastic. I use it as a speakerphone in my home office, but it's small enough to throw in any bag (or large pocket) and bring anywhere.Also, and you can't tell this from the photo, but this is just a really nice product with premium materials and lots of attention to detail. Even opening the box reminded me of opening my very first iPod, back when that was a big deal.Super simple to use - you turn it on, turn your phone's bluetooth on, this is now your phone's speaker. Charges via USB and is then completely wireless, just grab and go (or place on desk as I have).If your phone supports NFC, you can also tap the phone to the NFC logo on the speaker cover, but I didn't find this any easier than just turning my phone's bluetooth on.For music, it sounds 10x better than my cellphone speaker. You can't really compare it to full size home speakers, because it's only 15 watts and it's designed for portability, so there's no real bass to speak of. The X3, their next model up, has more wattage, drivers, and dynamic range...but it's also much larger.My only suggestion to the company, if they read these, would be to change the shape or texture of some of the top buttons, or make the button labels (up/down, power, volume +/-) easier to see somehow. Right now all five buttons look the same, which I like aesthetically, but I'd rather they be a little easier to tell apart.

I already own one of Bayan Audio's Soundbook X3 speakers and I love it. Since I travel a fair bit for my job, I wanted to purchase something similar - but smaller - to use in the car, in my hotel room, etc, so I bought the Soundbook. It's very light and easy to put in my suitcase or even smaller bag when travelling. I also like the built-in FM radio feature so I can listen to various radio stations in different cities while I travel. The sturdy casing and the smart cover that turns it on and off is great for traveling as you don't have to worry about using an extra case when putting it in your luggage, and the battery easily lasts the ten hours. Work travel aside, I also bring it with me when I'm out and about in the city or on the dock at the cottage. Great product overall.

It looks fantastic, it is amazingly compact and the sound quality is much better than any similar sized Bluetooth Speaker I have tried (and I have tried a few!). All I need now is my iphone, Spotify and my Bayan Soundbook and my music is sorted. If you are looking for a portable speaker that fits in a small bag but also has the power for home use, it's definitely a recommend.

Ich habe das Soundbook nun schon einige Jahre. Leider musste ich schnell feststellen, dass die Betriebsdauer nicht besonders lang war. Nach 1 Stunde war leider schon Schluss. Und die Stand-By Zeit im ausgeschalteten Zustand war auch nicht gut (2 Tage).Darauf hin habe ich den Hersteller direkt in England angeschrieben. Er hat mir sofort angeboten, kostenlos auf Fehlersuche zu gehen. Den Versand habe ich bezahlt.Nach ca. 2 Wochen kam das gute Stück wieder bei mir an. Die Betriebsdauer danach war super (3 Stunden bei voller Lautstärke!), nur die Stand-By Zeit war weiterhin miserabel geblieben. Auch nach einem zweiten Reparaturversuch war das leider noch so. Leider ist das Gerät dadurch nicht gute alltagstauglich.Der Sound ist dafür sehr gut, vorallem für Leute, die auf ausgewogenen Klang stehen. Die meisten Bluetoothlautsprecher heben die Tiefen ja sehr hervor, um einen guten Klang vorzugaukeln.Die Verarbeitung ist auch top und auf eine Langzeitnutzung ausgelegt. Das dicke Alugehäuse ist meiner Meinung nach fast unzerstörbar, weil extrem dick (4mm ca.!). Natürlich ist er dafür auch kein Leichtgewicht.

Das Soundbook ist aufjedenfall sehr stylisch und angenehm schwer und wirkt somit sehr Wertigkeit. Der Sound ist absolut in Ordnung für die Preisklasse. Auch laut genug und eher etwas basslastig, aber nicht zu übersteuert.Radio Empfang und Connection über NFC, Line In UND Bluetooth sind weiterhin hervorzuheben.Allerdings nur 4 Sterne, da bei mir die Verbindung über Bluetooth anfangs dauernd unterbrochen wurde. Hat sich aber nach mehrmaligen Verbinden von selbst gelöst. War also nur ein Bedienfehler von mir.Habe das Produkt über Bayan direkt für unter 100€ gekauft. Superschnelle Lieferung (etwas teuer, da Express aus UK)!

Das Bayan Audio Soundbook ist gut verarbeitet und macht einen edlen Eindruck. Die Verbindung über Bluetooth und NFC klappt reibungslos und sehr schnell.Der Klang ist für die Größe des Gerätes als sehr gut zu bezeichnen.Einziges Manko ist die Qualität des eingebauten Radio's.Dies könnte bestimmt technologisch besser gelöst sein-deshalb nur die 4 Sterne.

trotz inegrierter radiofunktion nicht überzeugend.frequenzsuche zu grob skaliert. schlechter Empfang und der Sound ist mit einem pringles speaker zu vergleichen. das Design ist der einzige Pluspunkt.

Wieder umgehend zurück geschickt. Kein Klang.Hätte keinen Stern verdient.

Verarbeitung ist gut, Vom Design her gut durchdacht, der Sound könnte etwas mehr Bass vertragen - Höhen und Mitteltöner sind vom Klang her wirklich ok.

Sehr schickes Gerät, guter Sound, Bluetooth ohne Probleme. Leider ist der FM Empfang sehr schlecht und verrauscht, deshaln habe das Gerät leider zurück gegeben.

Habe mir den Lautsprecher bestellt, weil er mir sehr gut gefallen hat. Auch ist er leicht zu bedienen. Ich würde mir Bass und Höhenregler wünschen, da der Klang doch sehr mittellastig ist. Wer nur nebenbei in angenehmer Lautstärke Musik hören möchte, für den scheint das Gerät in Ordnung zu sein. Wer aber BUM BUM, Bass haben möchte wird enttäuscht. Denn den muss man suchen. Auch bei höherer Laustärke ist vom Bass kaum was zu hören. Bei voller Laustärke verzerrt der Klang und hört sich wiederlich an. Also wer Bass mag und öfters lauter hören möchte, dem kan ich das Gerät nicht empfehlen. Selbst habe ich es zurück gegeben, denn beim Klang hat es versagt. Für den Preis habe ich mir besseres vorgestellt. Mein Schwager hat ein Gerät das nur 70 Euro gekostet hat und bringt doppelt soviel Bass raus und ist im Klangbild bei lauter Laustärke besser. Daher nur einen Stern, wegen der Verarbeitung und Aussehen.

Für seiner 'Groesse' und Gewicht, klingt es ganz schoen kräftig. Mit dem Kabel kann man Strom sparen, falls man mal laenger von zu Hause weg ist; mit bluetooth nimmt jedes damit ausgestattetes Gerät schnell Verbindung auf - d.h. MP3er an, Menü 'über Bluetooth verbinden', Bltth. an und dann i.d. Geraeteauswahl 'Bayan-Soundbook' anwaehlen, fertig und schon hoert man den duennen Sound des Smartphones ganz gross ueber dem Bayan-Soundbook. Wenn das mal nicht reicht, kann man ueb. aux-out den Sound exbeliebig verstaerken. UKW-radio gibt es auch noch dazu....mit einem original Samsung Ladegeraet mit ReserveAccu für meinem S3er, eignet sich das Bayan-Soundbook prima auf Reisen, es ist klein aber fein, sehr vielseitig und praktisch.
