These are beautiful cans. I purchased 2 cans 18 years ago and they are still going strong. I just purchased 2 more in the dark grey because they blend well with the darker island color in my new home. I use one for recycle and one for trash. I moved one of the old ones to the outside patio, and the other one into the garage. They are both still functioning normally. The lids on these are very sturdy, open and close, quietly, and the lids have held up without damage for 18 years. I do use regular trash bags in them, and the bags are completely hidden under the lid. I do not buy the custom made trash bags.

Have tried many brands, only Brabantia can last for more than 10 years. I bought the first Brabantia in 2008, it's still functioning properly. It's really worth.

I love these bins had one before but the lid hinge broke after years of use. Brought this one to replace old one . They are expensive but they last for years.

Beautiful bin. I had my last brabantia bin for 7 years and only got rid of it to update it to this one. I bought this from amazon as an open box for a fraction of the price. The description said there would be damage to the bin, but I took the chance and there is just a small dent at the bottom of the bin underneath which means it wobbles slightly if touched, no big deal for me, the bin looks perfect. Highly recommended
