love this product for helping me to handle (heavy) full carboys
love this product (FastRack FE510 Eagle Brewing Carboy Handle) for helping me to handle (heavy) full carboys. I use them on 4 gallon plastic drinking water carboys. Granted - the full carboys only weigh about 40 pounds, but still - being elderly - the full carboys are plenty heavy to carry. But by installing this handle, it becomes a much easier job.It was a bit of struggle to install the handle on the carboy but that is a one-time issue. and i attribute the struggle to the intense sturdiness of the construction of the handle. these handles are STURDY to the max ! And despite the handle costing me more than the carboys i attached them to, i still think they are a good value and a giant help.

Sturdy
Works great, great quality. Holds my 5 gal carboy without issues. Little hard to get all the way on but succeeded

Sturdy, but you may have to bend them a little to get them to fit.
These carboy handles are thicker than you might expect, but that means they're perfect for 5+ gallon carboys. I had to unscrew the wing nut and bend the ring to get it around the neck of the carboy, but I doubt I'll ever remove it, so it's only an issue once. This product is a must if you plan on ever moving your carboy full of liquid. If you'd rather not drop and break a large glass bottle near your feet, buy this handle.

Works Great - If You Use Carboys, Get This!
Back in the old days before these handles were even invented, a home brewer would have to hand grip the carboy by the neck and tilt it to get the other hand under the bottom to move it - which could spell disaster if hands were even slightly wet/slippery. Imagine 4-5 gallons of brew crashing onto your kitchen floor...not pretty. Fortunately that never happened to me in the old days; all that said, these handles make it really easy to lift and transport a 5 gallon glass carboy. The ring that fits around the carboy neck is (as you can see by the picture of the product) adjustable to fit different sized carboy necks.

Safety First!
This thing is perfect! I brewed my first batch this past Sunday using this. All I can say is Hell YES! This makes handling the carboy so much easier both empty and full. If you have a normal 5-gallon glass carboy like I do, don't hesitate to purchase this. Best sub $10 purchase I've made since condoms. Remember, safety first! Cheers!

Great Helper!
Really helps me Handle my carboy! (<= see what I did there. You can use that.) It makes lifting/controlling/gripping the neck of the carboy so much better. It is for making it easier to work with the neck of the carboy, not for picking up the whole thing when its full by just this handle. I still use two hands where I did before but I no longer worry about a slippery, wet, carboy neck slipping out of my hand when I am washing/shaking/moving it.It fits the neck of my 5 Gallon glass carboy perfectly. By perfectly, I mean that it has a little wiggle so its not crushing the glass but there is NO WAY it could slip over the ring above it and slide off.

Works, but not as useful as I'd expected
This carboy handle works just fine. I was easy to install and helps greatly with lifting empty carboys. But it certainly isn't very useful when the carboy is full. Lifting from the neck as this would seems to me to be a disaster waiting to happen. It also tips the carboy when lifting, so if you are using for wine it isn't a good choice because the tilting would disturb any sediment on the bottom.it still works perfectly for moving empty carboys and it's not very costly so I kept it and will probably get one whenever I acquire more carboys.

ALL STEEL!
These fit perfect. My first attempt was to use the gap between the two mouth rings on these carboys, but even the 6.5G was loose. Then I loosened all the way to get it under the lower ring. I tightened the loop without tightening too far; its very easy to tighten too far. It only needs a firm loop for lifting against that 2nd ring. Snug fit, but more difficult to get on the larger necks under their 2nd ring without full disassembly and locking pliers to start the nut, then very less tight than the smaller necks.Too tight and it could break the neck when putting pressure by simply lifting it. There were no instructions so I felt I should explain that for safety concerns. The delay to your supporting hand trying to hold a full carboy as it shatters can be life-altering.
