it’s a good cover but it smells like fish

I have often been puzzled at the cost of things in that sometimes something that I assume would be expensive is very reasonably priced and, vice versa, something that I expect to be easily affordable is outrageously expensive. I know there are all sorts of factors such as business rates, supply v demand etc but it doesn’t always explain why two similar items should differ so much in price. My wife and I have an iPad each and the eye-wateringly expensive covers we bought with them were both showing serious wear so we decided to replace them and checked out the various websites, including Apple. Wow! Okay, if you want a hand stitched leather case for £100+ go for it but all we wanted was a cover to protect our iPads that doubled as folding stand with auto shut off when closed. The range? Over £80 to less than £10. We chose this one and a similar one from the same supplier for £20 for the two. Guess what? They work fine. Quick delivery, nicely made, choice of colours, instant fit, lightweight and slim. What’s not to like? I would happily buy from them again in a few years when I need to.Be careful to check the serial number on the back of your iPad when ordering as there are subtle variations for lining up the speakers on different models that initially seem the same. I suspect that some buyers of various iPad covers may not realise this which would lead to dissatisfaction.

The magnets in this cover are not strong enough to allow the product to function as a stand correctly - the magnets are weak and give way, causing the stand to fall-over.I had a near miss when the product was sitting on a table in stand mode, then without being touched it fell over almost fell to the floor, potentially causing severe damage.It's a great price but as it doesn't work I cannot recommend.When I contacted customer service they were completely unhelpful, asking lots of questions about how I was using it, basically questioning if I was using it incorrectly.Best avoided!

This is the fourth case like this I have bought, the second for my current iPad. I like the fact they protect the iPad and screen without adding too much weight and bulk. I have found the cases to do an excellent job but it has to be accepted that they are not as strong as some other cases on the market and will therefore not last as long. I thought the compromise was well worth it.

I bought this case for my iPad Pro 9.7 to replace the more expensive Logitech Hinge case I'd been using. The reason for this was the fact that I'd bought a JETech case for my partner's iPad Pro 10.5 (being the only option as Apple now don't make a full case for this iPad model) and I liked it so much I decided to get one for my own iPad.It fits my iPad perfectly and is a lot less bulky than the Logitech case I had been using. Admittedly it might not give the same level of protection but this JETech case is much nicer to hold for extended periods of use.The Logitech case was £60 and part of the plastic edge of the case actually broke within a month. In comparison, at just over £11 I'm so impressed with this JETech case. I'd have no issue in recommending it or buying another...I'm considering the red case too :)

After 2.5 years use I’ve renewed my jtech cover on my iPad 9.7” pro. The other one was still good but one corner was cracked and I’m not sure if it qualifies as protective any more. Like bike helmets.....sensible to buy a new one after a drop!The new one is identical in quality but a whole £2 cheaper than in early 2017. Amazing!I love these covers. Less than a quarter of the price that Apple charge for theirs and perfectly adequate quality. I had an Apple case for a previous iPad and it was no better quality.I find these benefit from a good clean up regularly. I take the iPad out and give everything a good wipe. I tend to get the felt part a bit greasy in the place where it rests on my hand, but this restores to like new with a damp cloth with a drop of washing up liquid.Very very happy with this latest purchase.The photo is of the one I’m now discarding after 2.5 years protection of my precious iPad...... bottom left corner is the damaged part.
