The Asicminer USB Block Erupter is a compact and efficient Bitcoin mining rig that delivers a hash rate of approximately 3 GH/s. Designed for ease of use, it connects via USB and operates with minimal power consumption, making it an ideal choice for both novice and experienced miners looking to capitalize on the cryptocurrency boom.

Too much
August 2013: With 3GH/s you would currently be getting 1BTC every 10 days or so. At the current rate of $100 = 1BTC, plus increasing mining difficulties, plus energy costs, it would take you a lot more than 220 days for this mining rig to pay for itself. My guess is that it would take more than a year to pay for itself. By then mining will be hard enough to where 3GH/s will almost be laughable. Add on to that the people who've already made some good cash in mining have reinvested some of that money in to 500GH/s rigs or better. That means less for the slow folks.All of the BTC mining rigs that I've seen for sale on ebay and amazon are all way OVER INFLATING expected mining returns. Do your reading and work up a spreadsheet (or grab one of the many google sheets people have made). With 6.5GH/s you would realistically expect to get 1.5BTC every 2 weeks.Remember, everyone else who is mining is selling off their old gear to pay for the new, super fast, ASIC miners. I would say a 3GH/s mining rig is worth about $350 tops.

Don't disregard the value of these little miners ...
No one should be mining Bitcoin at this point in time - the difficulty level in solving BitCoin calculations is much too complex for ANY equipment you will find to an end user here on Amazon, or EBay, or anywhere else. If you want to mine BitCoin you likely would need to go to a Cloud Hashing contract and add to it as the level of difficulty increases to make money.But, here is my point - these things are a good deal if the seller is offering the equipment as shown for say under $1200.00 in my opinion because there are many coins available to mine that use the SHA-256 algorithm where these little miners are profitable.You mine SHA-256 algorithm coins at the least difficulty level as shown on CoinChoose or CoinWarz, build your mined coin inventory and sell when the price is right for you.You can make money mining coins other than BitCoin using rigs like this as long as the seller is selling at a somewhat reasonable price - like I said 1200.00 or less would be a good price for a high quality powered 10-port USB hub, (10) ten Sapphire ASIC miners that would mine at a 336 megahashes/second (336,000,000 calculations per second to solve the puzzle), and a fan to cool the miners.

Over priced
Let's break down the cost here.10 ASIC Erupter = 10 x $50.00 = $500 +1 10 Port USB Hub = 1 x $60.00 = $60 +1 USB Fan = 1 x $8.00 = $8.00Grand total without shipping -> $568.To anyone reading this, do yourself a favor and build your own setup.

"Vendor" should be barred
Clearly this is a vendor trying to take serious advantage of those who don't know much about bitcoins or mining.As other reviewers have pointed out, at this price point this rig is a complete joke. I put this same thing together myself for somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 bucks (granted I bought the miners when they were at an all time low for cost...around 25 bucks a piece...but still). In addition, with the difficulty level of finding BTC increasing exponentially, understand that this rig will not pay for itself, even at a much lower price. Mine the BTCs to play with it, but understand that you will not get good ROI on this. I'm currently mining at around 2.6 GH/s and end up getting 1 hundredth of a bitcoin about every week, week and a half. As compared to even 2 months ago when at HALF that rate I was getting 1 hundredth about every day.

Dont buy
definitely not worth it. you can pick up 2 BITMAIN ANTMINER U2 for 40 dollars plus shipping, which would outperform this setup. what this person is using for their price breakdown, is the price of the parts brand new. the block errupters he is using are now overpriced at even 20 dollars. the average going rate for the 333mhps block erupters is about 3 dollars a stick, anymore and its overpriced.if you are seriously considering this, dont. just search for the above miner or even multiple of the ones listed below.Avalon Nano 3BITMAIN ANTMINER U2Technobit Nanofury NF1buying just 1 of these is more powerful:Bitmain AntMiner U3Gridseed ASIC MinerIt seems to me this person is just getting out of bitmining and tryign to recoop his full losses

Not worth it by any means
The picture should explain it. Its a $60 10 port USB station with (10) Block Erupters which cost around $40-$50 each and a cheap fan. That's it - do it yourself if you'd like, but be warned that the Erupter isn't especially profitable and has about a 200 day payback period which means in a month or two it won't have a BreakEven point at all due to rapidly increasing difficulty.

Don't buy this...This is ridiculously expensive. It will not pay for itself.
Don't buy this...This is ridiculously expensive. It will not pay for itself. Go to the genesis block calculator and keep the 99 difficulty increase number. This number follows the mining difficulty curvature fairly well.

is this for real?
must be a joke
