ASAT Vanish Pro 3D Suit 3XL

I have a friend that hunts a lot of elk and he swears by ASAT. I needed a 3D suit and decided to give this a try. I was surprised at the color when I first opened it. A buff/light tan base color with brown and black arching patterns. Shape of the brown and black looks like antlers. Gentle arcs that taper to a point at the end. First day I hunted in it, I was using a blown down tree's top as a ground blind. I turned my head and got busted by a deer about 30 yards away. As expected, we got into a 5 minute staring contest until it decided to lower it's head to get another acorn. It raised it's head and tried to give me a second look, but you could tell the deer was 'looking through me'. It could not pick me out again. It knew the direction it saw me, but could not focus on me.Now that I have been wearing this for most of the season, I have consistently noticed that animals just don't seem to be able to focus on me. Even if I get caught moving or still hunting.The mesh is light enough to wear comfortably when really hot and the cut is full enough I can put it over cold weather clothes when bundled up to combat <20* temps. It is also very tough. Although I try to avoid the thorn bushes, there are some places you just can't. The suit has held up very well against these. I am sure I will be using this for many seasons to come.

Nice suit, well made. It didn't get used as much as I would have liked this year, but I think it will last for years to come. As far as sizing goes I'm 5'11" - 6"0" ish and about 325 - 330 lbs, the 3XL has more than enough room.

I have used this suit since I bought it in 2013 from ASAT website instead of Amazon since they ran out of my size on Amazon and I couldn't wait for them to restock. I also purchased the face mask off of ASAT website with the suit it is nice made of netting material and cloth ASAT pattern. The top half has a full zip with side pockets great for storage of hunting items and elastic bands at the end of the sleeves. The pants have zippers on both sides of the legs for easy fitting if you already have your boots on they can easily be pulled over your other camo clothes and pants also have slits like pockets to get your hands to your pants pockets for items. Overall a great stalking and hunting suit from tree stands to hunting off the ground. I have had success stalking whitetail deer on my lease and public state game lands. Deer seemed to look your way but can't figure you out I have used this suit during the rut to hunt bucks on my lease and stand next to a tree to hunt. I swear the deer just walk by even if they sniff me out they can't figure out where the human is. I have literally touch a deer and scared the hell out the deer when it was only 5 yards from me feeding. I am a die hard archery hunter and used this suit when I get bored hunting from a tree stand using my compound bow. I also have a much pricer ghillie suit that snipers used for training and ASAT out performs it hunting whitetail but as for fighting a war I'll stick with the ghillie suit. I gave it five stars since I could touch a deer with the suit just stay away from thorny bushes and the suit should last.
