Yes. Intact PE film forms a waterproof barrier against paint splatter, drips, dust, dirt, and spills. Seams, edges, and punctures are not sealed.

Can I use the two sheets separately or together?

Yes. Use them in separate areas or place them side by side. To combine, overlap the inner edges by about 6 inches and secure the seam as needed.
